Am I the only one who thinks he’s actually added a yard of pace as he has gotten older?

I think it’s been noticable since the Melbourne game that he’s look quicker than he has over the past few seasons - I don’t expect him to be throwing himself into contests like we see from Rohan or O. Henry, but he definitely seems to be moving better than he has a while

The fact many people consider buddy an all time great and amazing that he kicked 1000 goals, if Hawkins played more home games and/or didn't give them off as often as he does, he'd have kicked 1000 goals shortly after buddy.
He's criminally under-rated.

I'm not sure he'd be at 1000 but I have no doubts he'd be around 850 to in the 900s.

I’d say it’s not inconceivable to suggest he has cost himself between at least 0.75 and 1 shots at goal a game since he ‘arrived’ through looking for teammates in a better spot when he’s had the option to take the shot himself. That’s roughly 240 games, that’s somewhere between 180-240 shots, he’s generally fairly accurate from anywhere so you’re probably looking at 90-100 goals. So he’d be approaching 900 you’d have to think with a more atypical key forward approach.

Hawkins has 290 goal assists.

franklin has 230 goal assists.

it doesnt really narrow the gap all that much to add goal assists.

For assists yeah, I think people (me included) under-estimate Buddys assists too.
In another thread someone used goals per game at KP vs Pendles games at home, and if Hawkins played the same amount of games and averaged the same goals, he'd be well over 1000.
Of course HUGE variables with those stats but it's still an interesting exercise.

777 Goals now for the big Hawk - requiring just 1 too pass KB for number 14 all time.

Jack Riewoldt and Hawk are in a race too 800 this season and too pass Matthew Richardson

Next on list after Richo are Bernie Quinlan (817) and Peter Mckenna (874) Can see the Hawk playing 2 more seasons after this and passing those two but dont think he makes 900 goals.

Not bad for a bloke some called insignificant

I can see him passing 817 but 874 may be a touch much as even if he plays next year we will probably start trying to get games into the next gen.

The fact that he's been right at the top end of this table for all 5 seasons in his 30's is insane.

Goals and assists round 18, 2023:

1. Charlie Curnow 63 (51/12)
2. Tom Hawkins 62 (45/17)
3. Taylor Walker 61 (50/11)
4. Toby Greene 58 (41/17)
5. Joe Daniher 53 (41/12)
6. Nick Larkey 50 (45/5)/Jeremy Cameron (40/10)/Aaron Naughton (35/15)
9. Kyle Langford 49 (33/16)
10. Charlie Cameron 48 (39/9)
