Don't just stand there and be tackled. The dickhead could've hand balled it anywhere... He's a screwup.

You're got to be kidding. Wouldn't hurt for someone to actually make a play for the ball.

Fought hard to win the ball, only to be left on the ground completely surrounded by the opposition without a teammate in sight.

Good player. Please trade him to the saints. His brother is already there.

Seriously, it's just a shit gameplan by Buckley. If you don't believe that, please trade him for a 4th round pick ( saints have North's 4th round pick this year).

Some on here would like to delist him so you might be in luck

Yeah he ****ed up so it seems on the TV, so what Bucks cards are marked, The players did all they could to lose that game in the last 5 mins, the umps didn't help as well. Phillips not getting delisted any time soon, with 50 more games in him he will top 10 performing players at the club.

The criticisn of Flipper has been pretty harsh for a second year kid playing in a struggling team.

Look at the players he was drafted with, Crocker and Sier, and compare the progression.

Should get the rising star nom this week, and deservedly so.

This kid will be a 150 + player. Has good foot skills, can mark overhead, runs all day and knows where to run too. just needs to get a bit stronger

Strong hands. That mark on the HBF near the boundary in the last quarter was magnificent.

Reckon they should show that 100times to de goey. No cheat marks under pressure. Hands out in front

'I can outrun anyone': Ambitious Pie Rising Star

REJECTION at TAC Cup level would extinguish most players' AFL dreams, but Tom Phillips is no ordinary footballer.

This is the same second-year Collingwood wingman who speaks ambitiously and unashamedly about wanting to be considered the AFL's best athlete in the coming years.

Phillips, the round nine NAB AFL Rising Star nominee, was never lazy or suffered from a motivation shortage. Parts of his game required work as a 16-year-old who failed to make the Eastern Ranges' cut, but more than anything he lacked physical maturation.

The genetics were there – his father, Anthony, was on Essendon's rookie list, while his uncle, Andrew, was a 42-gamer at Carlton cruelled by three back operations.

I suspect they mean Essendon's Supplementary List, certainly not since the draft system came in has there been an Anthony Phillips on the Bombers' list, but there was a player with that name on their books in 1986.

Congrats to our very own Ryan Gosling, Flip, Tom Phillips

Done some really good things on the weekend. Showed a bit more physicality than I've previously seen.
Seems like he knows his strengths and what he needs to work on. Makes a few silly errors, but most 2nd year players do.

Well deserved nomination.

Still early days, he's not setting the world alight but there is a fair bit to like. The more games we get into him the better.
