Re: Swans set to learn of Bradshaw's decision

It's starting to cheese me off a bit. All we know is what th e papers write and it seems these deadlines are media driven.it would be nice to know the real story as to why he hasn't made his mind up yet, But for F sake make a decision, the longer this lingers the worse it looks for Bradshaw.
Carlton Harden up and tell him too make his mind up already. He would be good to get but he's not the Messiah, he's just a naughty boy :)

PS: why would you want to live in Sydney?

Re: Swans set to learn of Bradshaw's decision

We have to remember though whichever club he prefers to go to he still has to get past the seagulls wanting to pounce on him as well.Maybe he has decided his destination and the clubs are working frantically on talking to other clubs that may also want to snag him??????

He has a minefield to get through to get to Carlton.

It seems to me that his preference would be to get to the Blues, but Carlton has a bit of talking to do (probably to other clubs) in order to give Bradshaw some feeling of comfort.

If I was a betting man and had odds of 2:1 it put some good money on him getting to us.

If he decides he wants to go to Melb, places a price on his head, would he care who picked him up as long as it is a Melb club?

Re: Swans set to learn of Bradshaw's decision

No one will touch him.....at that age, salary, time in the game, repsect for the player, AFL pressure.

Re: Swans set to learn of Bradshaw's decision

Remember this is nothing compared to some of the crap he used to put Brisbane through in contract negotiations. He's used to stuffing clubs around. Don't hold your breath.
True, but then we had our own version and he was a pretty handy player ... Craig Bradley. Didn't Bradley used to train by himself until Carlton upped the ante before each list deadline?

AFL pressure is the big one. If a player after all that time in the game is treated like grist to the mill, and kicks up a stink, the AFLPA will get involved and free agency is on the doorstep. The AFL will stick some blu-tack over this you would think.

Yeah, but he also had to do a lot of training by himself because he was playing competitive cricket up until 1991

Re: Swans set to learn of Bradshaw's decision

If he has gone for a family holiday, I would suggest he has made his decision.

As Harker suggested, his management and desired club would be clearing the minefield.

Hope it's us.

I am more referring to a couple of times he was out of contract and the players had returned to training but Braddles didn't return with them until the contract was signed.

Re: And now for something completely differen't, Bradshaw to decide today!

pretty sure it doesn't say he will decide today, there's plenty of time for him, it will be interesting to see who he decides on

It says he will decide by midday today, before he goes on a cruise with his family. Hope Carlton gets him. It would be good. He's a good player.

Pre-pre-season boredom has turned a "nothing to get excited about" decision into something monumental. There's 3 groups basically:

1. Carlton supporters who want him

2. Carlton supporters who don't want him

3. Non-Carlton supporters who desperately don't want him to go to the Blues because of jealousy, fear and bitterness.

It's all very funny actually.

:)

Couldn't he just do what the Vatican do when the decision on a new pope has been made - let's see if a puff of white smoke rises up from the deck of the cruise ship some time soon!

As a good stop-gap he's 50:50 with me - wouldn't mind getting him, but wouldn't lose any sleep over missing out; reckon whoever gets him will have paid above market-value. Ultimately looking forward to a young developing goal-to-goal line of KPPs: Jamison - Waite - Henderson - Kreuzer (Hampson/O'hAilpin/Cloke/Austin hanging around the spine or as back-ups should any of our four preferred options go down with injury).
