Thought this part of the Vozzo interview was interesting: "We've got a couple of guys who are waiting on those decisions [relating to 2017 salary cap figures], and as soon as we know that, we'll make our final list changes."

Wonder if this means there is still some chance that Tunbridge gets delisted? Ofc it might just be decisions about renewing either him or Butler, and how much they'll be on.

My first thought though was that maybe Lamb's management is asking for more than we're willing to part with at this point in time. I'd really like to see him stick around for a couple of years to show what he can do, however unlikely it might currently look.

Summarises the interview with Vozzo on 6PR

Hopefully a link to the interview pops up so people can listen to what an outright peanut Hagdorn is

He's been reporting that Sumich knocked back an offer from west coast. If you listen to the interview an offer wasn't made only that after a discussion with Sumich it was clear Sumich wanted more than the line coaching position that's available so that's where it ended.

Talking to someone about a position does not mean a job offer was made. Despite being told that talks had ended, Hagdorn still asked a follow up question as to whether the Eagles would create a position to suit Sumich yo which Vozzo said we are only looking to add a line coach. It was pathetic
I saw an Interview Barich Had with Simpson about Sumich . It was painful . Its like Barich has no clues to back off on a line of questioning . Not as painful as when Barich interviewed Partington . Hagdorn sounding a bit similar . Having said this at least If you flog a dead Horse you find out it is dead and if repetition is for emphasis then we get the emphatic answer .
Melb may be open to a fair offer so we should put forward some sort of deal and if it starts getting ridiculous then wait for next year ..
Somehow get Hogan to Nominate WestCoast that seems to be where the deals get done . Players seem to have the say rather than the clubs these days .

Hoping Lamb stays/plays as we'd be lucky to get a pick inside 50 for him at present.

All his junior/senior career he's had to be reminded to keep his chin up. This year didn't go as planned. He should have played 1 away game (in place of Lecras) late in the season)
Cost us a 2nd rounder (pick 32 when Jnr McGovern went to Adelaide at pick 43)

Wouldnt it be funny if Collingwood replaced their Brown who is rumoured to be leaving under FA with Mitch
It would be even funnier if the trade F/A happens, but the original Brown never leaves and they pull the wool over everyone when he suits up next season. You wouldn't suspect a thing, not even when a random injury occurs. # twinlife

If the player pokes himself in the eye and has to come off fives minutes into the first game, we will know it was Mitch.

I was confused by the article
Are we chasing hogan this off season ?
Or next off season when he is out of contract ?

We aren't "chasing" him so to speak

What we are doing is maintaining contact with his manager and saying that if he became available we'd be interested

Nothing more to it than that

Hawks reportedly willing to deal Breust to make the O'Meara trade happen. Don't suppose the Suns need a key defender do they?

Breust wouldn't be worth much. Old and not that great. Been made to look better in a great team the last 5 years

Hawks deal Breust and a first-round pick in exchange for O'Meara. Suns keep the pick and deal Breust in exchange for Ezy? They get an experienced key defender, we get a capable small forward, Hawks get their man again like the campaigners they are

With the news Lycett is going to be fit for round 1, getting Petrie wouldn't be the worst option.

In the scheme of things he would be third/fourth behind Lycett and Giles and would spend most of the year in the WAFL as cover. As long as the expectation is that he isnt a walk up start in the best 22, he's adequate cover for a year until Naitanui is back.

Mackenzie isn't worth anywhere near Breust, also why would goldcoast trade a player for Mackenzie when they could prob offer a 2Nd round pick and get him.

Would a 300+ game player want to come to WA and play in the WAFL? I doubt it

We should really get in tom Mitchell's ear. Clear whoever u need to, to make it happen. Pick 12 on its own should be enough plus some chump change.

Breust to us. Pick 12 to Hawks. Plus some chump change.

Yeah every club speaks to his management. They manage a lot of players. Doesn't mean we r putting in extra calls about him.

Have we as a society moved beyond this sort of comparing?

What makes u say we would have picked McGovern if we didn't go for lamb?
