There was a brief period where Darling was realistic trade bait, so unlike Priddis there was discussion to be had esp. in this thread, but since the club has confirmed he is a required player everything Darling related now is just asinine rubbish.
I still think there's a slim chance he goes, especially if we retain McKenzie. I mean the club saying he won't be traded doesn't mean much, it could be a negotiating tactic. Clubs come out and say they are 100% behind coaches and then fire them two weeks later, things change.

Would you consider Masten as tradeable - I think GC would have interest and there is definite value there.
E-Mac also has value and may still be traded along with the possible Brown compo - use this as a pick upgrade.

Lets buy in to the mutherfunker and hit the draft hard.
Reported that contracted players are knocking back going to the Suns. They don't want to go there.

Masten to GC would make my year. They have plenty of picks to burn even before trading Prestia and O'Mera.

It's turning into a shitshow up there, would love to take advantage of it and get Swallow somehow assuming his injuries check out

Ditto re darling as I said but where was your instruction to go to the darling thread?

Reimers opinion is priddis is hindering the development of others on our list. If you don't agree with it state why but why try shut him down in here since he and every other player on list affects who we recruit and who we develop.

It's a valid point.

Emac was injured and barrass stepped up and got his opportunity which kept emac out of the side.
Would barrass have got his opportunity tonshine if emac didn't get injured? Would he have needed to? We may never have seen the best of barrass in our senior side.
This is a trade, draft or delist thread.

Not a Priddis caused all our midfield problems discussion.

Join the dots.

The flog a dead horse trade Darling & whether or not Priddis has affected our midfield thread.

Good work people, quality reading.

Dickheads.

Perhaps we need to give them the Sinclair treatment.
Masten has been given plenty of latitude by the club, I'd wouldn't mind if we were aggressive with our push on him in particular.

We need to get into some on that GC action and the club needs to get creative and find ways to buy in.

They just get played on a forward flank as we have the choice of priddis in the middle or priddis on the bench and be a man down in the rotation.

We cant develop mids for shit as a result. They dont get the exposure of game time in the middle - like we did when shuey and selwood when they were starting out. We kept playing them even though they werent great.

Now we play shuey and priddis for most of the game in the middle.

We arent developing players. Yeo has fallen off a cliff - look at his 2015 highlights - look at duggan....

So Duggan playing half forward isn't being developed?

Nelson started playing midfield after being further developed as a mid in the WAFL.

This year we aimed at a flag hence trading in Redden and Jetta. Those two coming in took spots developing kids would have filled but injuries to Sheed and Masten evened that out.

We need to cut some old dead wood to make way for youth. But we still dont have an inside bull to replace Priddis. That was Waterman.

I can assure you Chris Waterman is less than happy with the Eagles' treatment of Alec.
That's sad to hear, especially when we continually keep talentless hacks on the rookie list I don't see why we couldn't have kept Alec on there and supported him through another year. Had high hopes he would come back and be a gun.

It still could happen I guess. Alec doesn't blame the club at all.

Clearly club thinks we need someone. If we can't find alternatives then Petrie it is. I'm comfortable with that. We only need a backup anyway.

This. Club is doing due diligence.

We have lycett, giles, we need a developing ruck and one more in case of injuries.

If we cant get anyone else we take petrie - id rather him losing 90% of the hitouts than gov winning 50% and then getting a career shortening/ curtailing/ ending injury.

Anyone who thinks we are winning a flag next year is delusional anyway.

Sounds like there's a chance we'll make a bid for McCarthy.

And, yeah, Ballantyne "at the right price"; which is code for "at a discount".
Good to hear about McCarthy.

Ballantyne 4th rounder or GTFO
