Hello Eagles fans!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

Keys you may like to sticky this post & move it to the start of the thread (so the sticky post doesn't rotate if a post is deleted before it), or copy it to your draft thread if you have one.

Sam Taylor would be a hell of a get.

FWIW I would not be celebrating just yet. Plenty to play out and unless the Eagles come out and say we're taking Reid with pick 1 anything can happen up until we lock that pick in.

Few more rounds of interviews and discussions and other teams working out exactly what they'll have.

Also Eagles are considerably more into McKercher than publicly known and no he is not a risk to flee to Tassie team.

I'm in the JTR camp, for clarity.

Mindful of the dilution of our draft hand, if we could end up with HR, Curtin, Tholstrop and Moir it would be a great outcome and help continue our rebuild.

How do we best achieve this?

Would the only need be, for us to acquire a pick or Curtin?

North will make another offer listening to Rawlings/Twomey. Rawlings said there still looking to "manoeuvre" up to 1 and Twomey reckons they'll still have a proper crack.

At the same time, Rawlings sounds very content with there draft hand so i imagine there next offer will fall well short of our asking price once again.
Will up there offer but Eagles shouldn’t budge unless it’s at least pick 2 and 3. AFL need to change trade rules where clubs can trade to the club with the best trade offer, Harley will most likely love WA and be a Eagle for life but if things don’t work out and he wants a trade back to Vic he will only nominate his club of choice where you should be allowed to trade for best deal from any club similar to the NBA so it lessens the risk when drafting interstate players.

Free agent at the end of the 2025 season. Imagine will get a brinks truck backed up by GWS and half of the AFL.

I actually hope it’s McKercher that the club has targeted all along and not Curtin. Looks to be an absolute gun!

In 2018, the Cockburners had a pick before us in the PSD

It will be modestly fair but if the Poos and Wees want overs, it will be a walk

Why would Feathers just want to start a war on WA targets and upping value?
I get why we'd want him, but again, he's a Colin Young client, not worth the trouble. and considering more stuff we've heard from our ITK, some of the stuff he pulls is borderline sabotage.

Nothing new here but my turn to melt.

Clubs can match a ****en FA bid. Why are clubs rewarded for letting a player go that they are allowed to match, in turn making picks appear out of nowhere, to a disadvantage to every other team. Magic ****en picks! How can a professional organisation mismanage something so important.
Compo should be token, match the ****en bid and trade for a player or keep them, if you dont want them you dont deserve anything before an end of 2nd rounder. Clubs need a fair crack and should know what picks they are getting going in.
Unrestricted free agents are old campaigners anyway so end of 2nd is fine here as well.
Sure everyone can look at free agents, but not everyone can just grab them. **** you, you grubby bullshit make it up on the spot afl, your incompetence and completely unbalanced systems have finally done me in.

/melt. Time to drink.

trading duggan for a pick in the high 20s or low 30s is bad business. clear case of overrating draft picks.
duggan brings leadership to the team and is unfairly maligned on here.

Allen was saying in his podcast that duggan is very vocal in the group and was even doing his pre-game speeches when allen was captain (i guess its not oallens thing).

suspect how duggan is rated internally compared to the board is miles apart.

Agreed. We saw what happened when Melbourne cut their verterans in the 2000's.

You need some decent mature bodies to help protect the kids. Duggan is a unit and an important part of that.

A little surprised that some of the teams competing for the flag aren’t coming a bit harder for yeo.

There may be question marks on his ability to stay on the park but when he’s out there he’s a guy who can change the course of a game.

A managed yeo cherry ripe for finals could be the difference for one of these teams that came so close this year.

Yep - there was a photo of Sam McClure and Harley Reid posted a few pages back

So Reid answers that something little that grinds his gears is Sam McClure like a day ago.

Then today Connors apparently has Sam pre-hired as a panel interviewer for their breakfast. Wonder if Sam was uncomfortable at all!

Any pick swap involving GC would have to see them gaining points, even if it's just a small gain. If not, the quid pro quo is too obvious and we would open ourselves up to an investigation.

Throw in a future pick.

I’m really interested to see what McClure says now.

It's all kabuki theatre, bread and circuses.

McClure likes amping up the intrigue and being conspiratorial and vague, and for all his protestations - using hot takes to drum up publicity.

Reid was playing along and gave the Perth audience what they wanted to hear. I can almost guarantee that was a canned line that was put to him.
