I am 100% certain if we let Moore go, particularly if it's because we are chasing other talent, we will 100% regret it.

Bloke is a LeBron James type physically, he shouldn't be that big and that quick and that athletic, but he is. Can play forward, ruck and down back and is 22 and the son of a Collingwood great.

We WILL regret this I hope you all are fully aware of that.

12-24 months ago I would've agreed with you.

But now? The guys is 4 years into his career. We have definitely seen glimpses, more in the back half than up front, but even when healthy he doesnt consistently put it together, and then there are the injuries, and how often they occur mid game.

I would love him to stay. I would love him and the club to agree to a 500k contract for a few years. But if he thinks he is worth more than that, which I am sure he does, then I wouldn't support giving it to him garaunteed. If he wants to gamble, drop the base down (say 400) but give him targets to reach up to 700k/yr if he meets certain requirements (games played being the main one).
If another clubs wants to offer him that 700k garaunteed - then let him walk in a trade.

Did you just say that Moore is a "LeBron James physically"?!

I’ve been giving my Essendon supporting mate shit all day saying they are re-signing him. He’s not happy. Would be quite bad if this back fired on me hah.

Been down to Births, Deaths and Marriages, I see...

It’s still the same old me. But in Soup form.

Just remember, no matter who you are, you're still ours and we love very much all the same...:hearts:

He’s black?

I genuinely admire and respect Brendan Goddard. There are a number of players at our club that I would take him instead of in a heartbeat. His effort in the 2010 Grand Final was superhuman and he was by far the best player on the ground out of a field that will certainly have multiple AFL legends.

Through no fault of his own he has been dealt a rough hand at AFL level twice and should be considered along the likes of Bucks and Robert Harvey as guys desperately unlucky not to win a premiership.

Good player in his prime. I can respect that, but that’s it. He’s just such a shite bloke.

Funny that coming from two clubs that have had players getting up to things like;

Graser Gehrig pissing on someones leg
Andrew Lovett and his nocturnal adventures
Milne and Joey Montagna and their Brighton excursions
Steven Baker replacing Ric Flair as the dirtiest player in the game
Sam Gilbert and his interests in the secondary school system
Jason Gram stalking more than the ball
Dawson, Riewoldt and Dal Santo and their selfies
Essendon and the biggest cheating scandal in the history of the afl

Brendan Goddard is a shit bloke for wanting to win a flag.

Or he’s just a shit bloke because he’s a shit bloke.

That he was and is a better player than quite a number of players at our club is correct.

That he was terrific as opposition in the drawn grand final, absolutely.

That he is an A grade flog, priceless.
