From what I've read it seems the whole Treloar to Collingwood is being held up because GWS are waiting on pick 28 from Carlton.

I'd give pick 19 for all 4 players. I think Carlton are actually doing pretty well there. Let's f*** Carlton up completely

This could blow up in our face as well as Carltoons.
What if Carltoon dig their heals in a don't come to the party for pick 19?
In effect we have given up a higher valued pick next year for nothing.
Yes i understand that Yarran will sit out the year and we could get him for nothing next year,But is next year without Yarran are we going to improve enough(while others around us will)to even make the 8 and if not then that future 2nd rnd pick we gave away for nothing becomes more valuable to the suns and not us.
And may i add a year out of the Top level isn't going to help matters in regards to Yarran.
I hope Blair and Co know what they are doing.

Plenty of clubs this year need points for there academy kids, both of our picks should net us something very good this year in terms of a possible player+top10 pick this year.

Either way, we've improved our drafting position for this year and improved our trading hand with our current picks.

I have a feeling that the AFLPA will step in and resolve this, won't look good on the AFL and nor is it fair for a player to be sitting the whole year out at a club he despises and no longer wants to play for.

Don't forget the importance of keeping our first Rd pick this year. If we want to go all out for an O'Meara or Prestia or other doozy next offseason we will most prob need two firsts and will be able to trade our 2017 first assuming we have kept this seasons one.

I didn't know this about our 1st pick this year. Why would they have made that a rule given we are trading in the present not the future?

In any 4 year window you must have 2 first round picks. So if we trade this years then we can only trade one of the next two years unless we get another in somehow. That's how I read it anyways

Na no way. Hampson is better than Phillips. Sumner can't even have high possession games in the NEAFL. Plowman's too small for a key defender and Lamb is not worth the pay packet. Quantity does not equal quality. We'd be better off giving 19 for Jack Steele, but he'd probably cost 12

I actually agree with this. I'd have given up 19 before trade week for Plowman, now it also screws over Carlton i say do it.

Haha I went to the Carlton vs Hawthorn game this year at Etihad. Carlton dude in front of me was on his phone the whole time, looked up to check the game maybe once or twice. To his credit though, he lasted like a champ and left at 3QT. #sobrave
