I keep hearing all these different teams are after gold coasts pick 12. We were always favourites for Brisbane’s first but considering it is now 18, Is there a reason we haven’t been linked to Gold Coast’s 12 instead. I would love for us to go say to them that we will do the Rioli deal but we want 6 and we want to do a package of 2nd and 3rd round picks for 12. We can offer them more picks and points than any other team. Make them deal with us if they want Rioli.

What we should keep in mins is Blair Hartley is a very good operator that pays good value and extracts good value
What ever the outcome i think we can be assured he did the best deal possible and it is bwhat it is and we will move on.

Im sure he will have good valuations on our out going players Rioli , Graham , Baker & Bolton
fremantle usually pay up for contracted players and matty clake would know blair well and they will get value for Baker and explore all options

Blessing in disguise. We are bottom on the ladder with them playing and we somehow can offload a 28 year old Rioli who was previously unable to break into our side and hated in here, Bolton who is not who you build a side around as he taps out when it gets hard, and Baker (B grader at best). You can’t build a premiership core around them, they are cherry on top types who fill utility needs. The fact we will get borderline startup concessions for them is glorious.

I don't mind the overall take but when did Rioli become unable to break-in to the side? Played at least 18 games in every season since he was drafted, bar 2018 when he was coming back from a broken foot.
