I don't know, the ads they play over and over just kill me. Actively makes me want to boycott the companies.

I know. Watch Rioli rack 'em up playing for the Suns.

Did Trent win two? Or did Shedda get one? Either way they were all better players than Lines Hannebery.
I believe Cotchin and Edwards have 1 each. Prestia only got nominated

LDU, Ed Richards and Tom De Koning are the ones i'd be chasing.

Some people are bemoaning the move of Graham and Rioli in particular given their flimsy reasoning for leaving but, in the end, all these exiting trades played in a team that finished dead last. Some of them played their absolute guts out in an effort to bump up their value too and yet we still finished dead last. They are all premiership players and many are leaders around the club yet we finished dead last. Rather than be upset about their departures, Help them out the door and thank them for netting us the means to quickly rebuild the club once again.

I don't want to be a club that perpetually hovers around the finals or even continuously makes Prelims but always falls short cough Port cough Geelong. I want to build the basis of our next dynasty right now. If we have to go through some pain, lets do it hard right now so we can spring back up quickly and drastically, bursting into the flag stratosphere once again.

As long as we still have some leaders and mature bodies to groom and educate what's coming in like Nank, Prestia, Lynch, Broad, Taranto and Balta, bring the talent in on mass and create a granite foundation to securely, step by step grow from. We're in for at least another 2-3 more years of pain (that hurts me to admit I must say) but if we can find another core group like Cotch, Jack, Rance, Dusty, Edwards and Lambert, the rest will come.

That's what makes this year and this draft so crucial for our future. It's the beginning of our next premiership team.

Exactly right.

We have a once in forever opportunity to bring in a heap of top 20 players (an dthis year top 30 is top 20 worthy apparently). We still have 1/2 of a premiership team with a heap of leadership. Winning games ain't the goal. Developing our new players it the goal. If we get this right we will have a stack of top end quality across the paddock, with good attitudes and good development. Then in 3 or 4 years we start to rise as they mature together.

No one has had this opportunity before. Let's give it a red hot go and hope we pull it off. If we do we might beat the system and have that deep high quality team for several years. Then hopefully a premiership of five will come our way. One premiership = success. Everything after that is pure cream.

the bont is out of contract next season him being a tigers supporter growing up should we throw the kitchen sink at him next year and make him captain i say yes
I already know he will go to the desperado pies who next year will think they're still in the window

Knowing LDU’s plans would really help North/ us to map what they here gonna do with pick 2. He probably waits yeah?
Did an interview with cleary saying he was keen to re-sign when there was a lot of noise around other clubs coming hard for him, hasn't yet re-signed and has since been reported he will hold off and see how north go in the early part of next season before committing to anything

Davies U is 25
Dekoning 23
Richards 25
Perfect age.
2 of those will be pushing 30 once we're up and about again.

We'll be banking 10% of our cap space for the next 3 years, we'll also be in the position to use 2 years future picks (so all up 3 yrs) to trade for players.

I don't think that it makes any sense for us to trade in any players for at least 2-3 years

you won't need to trade for them as they are free agents, they'll only cost salary cap space. Allows us to keep draft capital and add talent

Cheers. Silly to do otherwise, probably.

So what you're saying is 10 top 30 draft picks this year, and martin, grimes, baker, graham, bolton, lynch, money is banked in 2025 and replaced end of 2025 with 6 from the above list. Dynasty 2026 to2028.

We willbe done rebuilding this year and next. All the draft picks we have this year and pick 1 next year plus bring forward future picks. We should be all in on getting 5 or 6 free agents. That's what a rebuild looks like everyone!

Yeah, that's the case with UFA's, but RFA's still give the opportunity for a club to match and you're then forced to cough up trades to get deals done, would Cameron be the most recent example?

I think that we're going to struggle a little for list spots, particularly this year and bringing in an unrestricted FA this year would limit our ability to hit this draft hard

As Jeremy Clarkson once said
"Like the menu of a Scottish restaurant. Not much there and nothing you want."

I guess the difference is Mr Magic isn't paid to give his opinion.

Cooney is being paid and if you're giving your paid opinion then it shouldn't be delusional like Mr Magic.

Hardly up in arms, just think it's ridiculous.
The thing is Cooney isn’t paid to give his opinion per sae

It’s to generate content and engagement with trade radio

Countless people spreading what he said and melting about it just drives more people to interact with the content and Is essentially free advertising for trade radio

Cooney has achieved exactly what he wanted

Have some inside info about Oliver. I just don't think we have the culture or leadership to support him/get him right. Also not the type of player I would want young draftees looking at and thinking he is a role model.
Geelong would be fine with that. They have a bloke that was on the gear, passed out in the toilet and they picked him to play the next week. Hardly a raised eyebrow from the media.

Imagine Bailey Smith, Stengle and Oliver all at the Cats. Their shrink would be putting in some long hours.
They'd have to be renamed 'The Mad Catters'

Were all in for Taryn Thomas as well. Don't be shocked if his troubles die down a bit if he doesn't also bob up at the GMHBA Safe Snffing and Injecting House.
