Thought Bakes speech last night was pretty wanky.

And that’s the guy people wanted to be our next captain?

Could tell Broad and Nank weren’t impressed when receiving their medals.
- both mentioned they were from different states and how the club has helped them.

Baker gets on half plastered and says can’t wait to watch from afar.
- after the Richmond football club made him. He would be playing country footy if it wasn’t for the Tigers.

If that was Cotch, you know there would have been a heart felt message to the fans and the rest of the playing group.
It was all jokes with Liam.

Bolton, if he does leave.. then his speech was just as disappointing. Did mention his partner/family and seemed emotional bringing it up but the club will back him if he stays….

And Rioli… it’s amazing what the power of ‘good women’ can do. Geez, should have just given her the Jack Dyer medal last night. Even praised Yze.

No mention on his plans or anything regarding that. If that’s the last we see him in the yellow and black then that was really disappointing from him. Gave all the praise to the girl he met because he was an AFL player, not the AFL club that gave him a life/career. - que the heart felt Instagram post once he gets traded to GC with a bunch of memories from Tigerland.

I’d be making sure that the 7, 17 and 29 numbers are all taking by new recruits next year and we move on from those players very quickly.

if Daniel Rioli was engaged to a lass born and bred in Ferntree Gully, who worked as a hairdresser in Blackburn South he still would be playing at Tigerland in 2025. Dimma was a minimal factor, less travel time to his homeland also factored in. love him and hope he does well but can't see him getting the toy boys any higher than 8th.

And I guess, playing two games a year, including time between games in the top end possibly helps.

Would be a good get for norf and not the last bloke we should be interested in . That small defender role tho is a place we intro young players , he ll be right in the block hole there

This is embarrassingly skin deep analysis but Shorty was really really familiar & congenial with Hinkley after our game over there.
Maybe they’re both just nice guys, but yeah it jumped out at me & if Houston goes, Port can’t really afford to go backwards & clearly have headroom given their Perryman chase.

our club us not in shambles if anything those leaving are help others in the club keep their jobs

watch Geelong fall off a cliff in coming years. Swans losing this year proved Geelong 2022 GF was a false indicator

Magic is 100% spot on .
We are run off the field magnificently.
We have a huge dollars coming yearly.
We have lynch, lefau,Bauer forward.
We have Balta,Gibcus,vlas in defence.
We have Brown,Banks,Hugo etc big improvers.
We quick smalls steely,Seth,rioli,etc.
We have spare key tall defenders
Blight,young,miller.
Our mids Taranto, Hopper,prestia are experienced and going to be much fitter.
We will add several gun juniors.
We will have another 3 top 20 picks also in 25.
Exciting times ahead.

Depending on the confidence levels the decision makers have in Samson Ryan (which going by the contract size I guess are high), I reckon we should be asking if Preuss wants to come down to Punt Road to play as the injury fill-in guy if Nank goes down.

Unless of course the club feels like Ryan and OHB can get it done but for the price of a rookie selection I think he'd be ok just to chuck into the trenches if/when Nank misses. Also helps prevent our young string beans from getting belted/stops us from risking Balta in there.
