Agree. Reckon we probably offered him maybe one more year than we would in a perfect world but in doing so we have picked up a really good footballer that suits our needs without having to use any trade capital.Stoked with the acquisition of Hewett, perfectly targetted and executed by Austin and co.
Hopefully Hewett's work ethic and defensive attitude rubs off on his new teammates.
WELCOME THREAD, WELCOME THREAD, WELCOME THREAD!!!!!
A 'B' grade player who like to tackle and run both ways......more if this please

Well done to Austin and co.
Kinda looks like Plowman in a wig and fake moustache.
I don't know much about Hewett but the consensus is he goes in and plays a solid consistent brand. This is what we need. He's not just adding depth but he's raising our floor. That's the kind of thing that's going to mitigate conceding those 5 goal runs.
So an upgrade on Saddington & Mott then.....Admittedly, I don't know your midfield super well, but Hewett could easily be your 3rd best inside mid behind Cripps and Walsh. Very good defensively, more reliable by foot than you would think, decent set shot and could be a good defensive forward or pinch hit on a back flank if needed. Best in the centre though and you will be absolutely chuffed with him by end of season.
It's time for Royal Blues to return with a bit of Oblah di, Oblah da.I'm trying to work Hewett into Beatles songs now..
A Hewett Day's Night?
