In deep with Lipinski and Wallis from Dogs. (Tiger71 credit for this months ago) but have heard more conversations around this this week. Very interesting. I’ve heard scenarios raised of getting the Bulldogs top pick too. I think we are going to invest in the draft to get 3 or 4 top picks and then get some experience in to beef up the list. Considering we have 6 top 50 picks we will see some movement with these.

Under no circumstances will we move on Pick 7. It’s going to get us an elite player.

Fits with this article https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/clubs-circling-bulldog-lipinski-20210630-p585ou.html. Was also mentioned on here that we were keen on him in 2016 but Bulldogs surprised us by taking him early which left Bolton for us.

Hope we don't go near Wallis, not what we need.

Does anyone on here know if the Daniel Howe links have anything to them. Not the biggest fan of the player but we saw later in the season when Pickett and McIntosh missed games how much our wings help our structure.

With pick 2 you have to go with the best player at that pick which then gives them the choice of pulling a needs based pick at 11.

Very similar to the Tigers situation but with better picks, pretty sure that Mat Clarke mentioned this too.
In essence your right. But we're talking a list that is chock 0 block with midfield talent. What their not so strong in is in defence.Hell they even tried Riccardi down back without success.
I'd be surprised if they don't take Cibcus

I think it was Tom Morris?? in a live chat on Fox Footy that mentioned that Howe was keen to get to us, if we actually wanted him (I doubt we do).

Yeah I'm happy to do a Pod next week if you have news to share, and we can talk about finals etc. captain blood 17 can tell us about pre season cricket training.

Well it's off to a shit start. Already got an injury and been hit by a bouncer. Stupid ****ing sport. I get injured less playing footy.

Another opportunity to weaken Richmond.

Note how keen Morris has been for Toby Greene to get more weeks to ensure he will not be playing should GWS encounter Melbourne

It's staggering how many are talking up Dunstan and bagging Parker.
I think the same people bagging the idea of Dunstan would be the same people not keen on Parker. Not because they are similar in playing style or quality - its more the thinking of short term / quick fixes - rather than long term thinking and building our next dynasty

I can see the benefits of Parker in the short term but it seems the club is looking at transitioning out of a dynasty mode into the next phase and players like Parker who offer short term benefits at a large cost would not be in the picture. We already have an impending cliff with a lot of our best players either 30 or close to it. Getting Parker in would indicate a Geelong-style all or nothing short-term approach - which we have all bagged out - it seems inevitable that the Cats are going to crash next year and will prob be in for years of crap-ness once their 30+ brigade retire

I'm assuming we also have salary cap issues - Parker at $650k may mean we are less well situated to reward or keep our players coming through

The other important thing is that the game is changing and speed is paramount - we need midfield speed - although I agree we need a good mix in the draft including 1-2 elite clearance specialists.

Its a good debate and it probably comes down to where we see the Tigers in the short term - do we go all out and contend next year or do we start transitioning. For me I think we've had a very good run and now need to start transitioning/refreshing (without bottoming out) so Parker is a no from me.

You shouldn't be mouthing off at the bouncers and they won't hit you.
Melbourne curfew has put Nightclub bouncers out of work anyway.

I tried the "don't you know who i am" stuff. Explained how i'm a big deal in Bigfooty but surprisingly he had never heard of me. I was shocked!

Well it's off to a sh*t start. Already got an injury and been hit by a bouncer. Stupid ******* sport. I get injured less playing footy.
Im the exact opposite. Can run around a cricket field all day long and be fine. Go to kick a footy or short sprint chasing the ball and ping hammy, ping quad every single time. So frustrating

Speed is not everything especially when other players provide speed and zip and I think some need to pay some of our players a bit more respect regard the cliff. Arguably Parker helps push the cliff away a little bit.

The cliff is okay depending on the slide you are building. Arguably with a player like Parker you can have more speedy players like Prestia around him. Parker could add another year to Prestia's career to where he gets relief to rest and ensure he recovers from his hamstrings and other aliments as they get older. Bolton could get another 2-3 years out of his career because he does not get an injury from playing in the guts as much and can rest forward more with the players playing with less wear and tear. Bolton and others have more room to do what they do more effectively to because Parker is more inside. Parker takes the pressure off Cotch kicking goals as well to a degree

Don't hate the player mate..... At least I kinda kept in touch with you, how unappreciative are you! How do you think I feel? I leave and Tiger71 becomes an overnight sensation and his face is everywhere! I get no thanks for that either....

Sounds great however; to get dogs pick 1, Lipinski and Wallis we would have to:
Pick 3 Lipinski
Pick 3 Wallis
Pick 2 , Pick 2 for dogs pick 1;
Otherwise
possibly pick 2 & two pick 3 for pick 1?

You should hit up Michaels for a spot on the Tigercast. Although if you don't have blue lips and a $9K computer you might not be taken seriously.
