Next year, if caddy stays and Tarrant come in that, is 11 over the 30s since you bring in numbers. But again was been cheeky with This is Anfield I don't give a rats arse of how old our players are as long as we can win it.
Same structure we played with in 2017/18. Broad, Vlastuin and Grimes especially can all play on smaller opponents. Short and Rioli will be able to go all out attack with those blokes down there.Very tall. Essentially four key position size.
Daniel Rioli and short will need to be on their toes
Maybe balta forward?
I didn’t really think about it like that. Well said!I have absolutely no insight into what happens behind closed doors at RFC. It's just my 2 cents here but if you've got the bulk of a playing list that has won 3 flags and guys like Dusty with still some time left on the clock to produce incredible footy surely you'd have to think it's still pedal to the floor.
Why think about contending for a flag in about 3-5 years with a young list? What I mean is, flags are very hard to win and the only thing absolutely guaranteed by going rebuild now is that we will do a rebuild. No guarantee of any flags. There is still the chance with the list we have to eek out at least 1 more. There is nothing overly exciting about a rebuild. There is something very exciting about contending.
Given the quality of footy from the opposition this year nearly every team that qualified in the top 8 was vulnerable. Not one of them was truly fearsome. Without us competing is a given one of the others will win it.
Get our list fit and healthy in the preseason and load up the tension in the arms shoulders and back and swing for the fences one last time!!! Freaking eat em alive Tigers!! I'm ready to storm the empty pitch at the MCG right now who is with me!!!????
One last time Tigers!!!... Until we win the cup next year then can do a John Farnham and run one last time campaigns as much as we want!! Even with these other campaigner teams playing off in the GF next week no one is better than us when we rolling and ruling!!!

.
Riewoldt. Edwards. Cotchin. Grimes. Might be gone by then..
BoooooooooooWhy don't we just move Balta f
Fffff
Fffffffffffffffff !!!
Fff !!
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF FFFFF !!!!
Dammit !
Why don't we just leave Balta where he is.
Hummm what next year? they will be playing but I fear cotch may not be similar to rance may call it depends on how his body is pre season.
Riewoldt. Edwards. Cotchin. Grimes. Might be gone by then..
The one who I wouldn’t mind experimenting on the wing is Broad, before his injury this year he looked like he had taken his game to another level and I think he would be a very good modern wing playerVlastuin is not KPP size and Broad and Grimes are nimble enough
but he is a gun back, was probably our best before injury. The one who I wouldn’t mind experimenting on the wing is Broad, before his injury this year he looked like he had taken his game to another level and I think he would be a very good modern wing player
Don’t just look at the heights.I wasn't including floss but he is pretty big for the 5th defender
1. Tarrent.
2. Balta.
3. Grimes.
4. Broad.
How far forward?!?I dunno if its been mentioned, but I'm just gunna put this out there - now that we have Tarrant, what do people think about throwing Balta fwd?
Clear out Lynch and Riewoldt, Balta's paddock.I dunno if its been mentioned, but I'm just gunna put this out there - now that we have Tarrant, what do people think about throwing Balta fwd?
Balta's BACKYARD!!!Clear out Lynch and Riewoldt, Balta's paddock.
8 30 plus in best 22 well it's getting near Geelong territories.
That’s a premiership defense base right there!Yeah that info about Balta isn’t correct. I can confirm he’s started light training and back for preseason unless any thing happens from here. Balta almost certainly a starter for Round One with Tarrant, Grimes, Broad, Vlastuin. Premiership defence right there.
There's also Miller, remember.Don’t just look at the heights.
Check out playing weights
Two of those guys play about 10kg heavier than the others and we need them both down back against teams with multiple big key forwards
We don’t even know if Miller will be with us next year, and if he’s actually up to the levelThere's also Miller, remember.
And Weideman.
any mention if we are still interested in Talia after the Tarrant news
Nothing like adding a bit of sensationalising, sure you don't work for the Sun.
He may well have a chat with his manager and ask it there are any takers.
Not that easy getting a gig in the best backline in the league over the last few years, Rance, Grimes, Broad, Astbury, Balta, Vlastuin..... stuff all VFL and injury.
Just need a photoshop whiz to edit this accordinglyBalta's BACKYARD!!!
It's hardly sensationalist to say a bloke who is 23 is going to look further afield perhaps after he finds himself in the reserve backup category again.Sensationalising? C'mon man i'm not the one making sensational claims that a one-gamer is going to leave because we drafted a 33 year old.
Drafting Tarrant is more like drafting Chapman or Graham. A strong body to take the hits on the ground and along with Grimes, teach the young guys how to play the game.
Look at it this way. If Miller is good enough he'll make the position his own from Rd 1 and Tarrant will be good injury backup. And if Miller isn't good enough then we've filled a hole that would otherwise be plugged by Garth (unless he's delisted beforehand) or we have to play an undersized defender and probably get smashed against the teams with two big forwards.
How do you know we havent? It's hardly sensationalist to say a bloke who is 23 is going to look further afield perhaps after he finds himself in the reserve backup category again.
You reckon he is not champing at the bit to play AFL after 5 years, they all are. Why did CCJ leave and he is younger.
Of course Tarrant will be there rd.1. I just wish we had looked a bit harder for a player in a better age bracket.
