Mitchell would be awesome for our midfield but I can't see how a trade gets done. Unless we use a future pick. Even then hawks will want more than were willing to give up
We do not have the Salary Cap space unless Hawthorn take a chunk of it and there is a reason Richmond do not tag him...

If we get T. Mitchell, it would need to be a Sam Mitchell type deal, otherwise no way would we give up a lot. Hawks will probably want more, so deal doesn't get done.

Simple as that, move on
We don't like the accumulator type. Stat padding is not our way.
No way we go near him.

We finally have a good draft hand. I hope we use it on kids and not topping up

Yep hawks would have to pay some of his contract.

Richmond doesn't tag anyone. Mitchell is a gun and exactly what we need in the middle. He's just a bit old and expensive.

Ben Hobbs could be our own Tom Mitchell.

As much as I don’t like the Mitchell talk, reality is if we stay relatively healthy with the rest of the squad and add Tarrant in defence and Mitchell in the engine room we are right back into the top 4 next year IMO

Worried about the cost though, in terms of draft pick and $$$$$

Pitty Clarko is no longer at Hawks to help his buddy Dimma out….

I would the offer the bombers 20 and 28 for pick 11 and a late or future pick.
7,11,15,17
Have bombers made any indication they want to move on pick 11?
I thought they wanted to strengthen the hand they have in the first round not weaken it

COULD MITCHELL FIX RICHMOND'S MIDFIELD ISSUES?

7.50am:
RICHMOND should look at recruiting Brownlow medallist Tom Mitchell to assist in its bid to return to finals, according to Port Adelaide great Kane Cornes.

Hawthorn is keen to hit the NAB AFL Draft hard this year, and Cornes said the Tigers' pick No.7 would suit the Hawks' rebuild perfectly.

"I've been saying all along, Richmond, the one issue is their midfield," Cornes said on Continental Tyres AFL Trade Radio.

Co-host Matthew Lloyd thinks Mitchell could add some reliability to the Tigers' engine room, which was one of the worst clearance sides in 2021.

"Tom Mitchell, you might not like how he plays, but you know what you're going to get every week," Lloyd said.

"That's where it's an interesting one for Richmond, because he's a guy who's going to walk in, and he'll be playing with Dusty Martin, Dion Prestia, Tom Mitchell, it's going to be a midfield where you know what you're going to get every week, with (Trent) Cotchin a bit of cream on the cake.

Pick 26 at best..... pick 7? Cornes has not idea.....muppet !

Can't wait for the melts come 7.30 next Wednesday night when the Dogs haven't traded and people lose their minds wondering what happened

I wouldn’t expect it to be done until they have to match the bid on Darcy. Then I’d hope we team as pick 17 loses value to us at that point, as we can’t use it in trades prior.
