A future 3rd?! Nah, they’re not serious about bargaining. There is trying to reach a mutually beneficial agreement and then there is this.
Try another club please
They’ve come out hard …. Can they maintain this pressure all gameGrand final week for Norf.
Lol who said anything about best offer at the beginning of negotiations? They are offering a 3rd rounder while requesting our a 4th-round pick back according to an article that cited The Age. You still think knowing this that North Melbourne is being serious in negotiations? Sounds that they know they have the upper hand instead.Do you even understand how it works? You never offer your best offer first.
It’s like a bunch of you on here have never been outside of your house and in the real world. Lockdown must be taking its toll on you Victorians

I highly doubt that we will get his value from a club that took full advantage of Collingwood’s cap space last year and paid unders for Jaidyn Stephenson. I’m not waiting around for a good deal from them tbh
Seriously embarrassing himself in this trade period; has no idea. Completely out of his depthPick 26 at best..... pick 7? Cornes has not idea.....muppet !
You’d be in the 12 RATD.
How so? Free agency compensation works based on the net gain/loss. "A club that has a net loss of players transferring to/from other clubs as free agents in one transfer period is entitled to compensation via National Draft picks allocated by the AFL."
E.g Lose 1 free agent, bring in no free agents = 1 compo pick
Lose 2 free agents, bring in one = 1 compo pick
Gain 1, lose 1 = 0 compo Pick
It doesn't matter if the opposing team gain a compensation pick from the free agent leaving, bringing one in still cancels out the compo for one of yours leaving.
Ironic considering you're too lazy to google it yourself.LMGTFY - Let Me Google That For You

Instead of thinking people are simpletons that don’t understand how negotiations work, maybe read my post and realise that it’s not my failure of understanding negotiations that’s my problem here. I know how negotiations work. It’s North Melbourne’s willingness to negotiate that is my problem. I have seen how opportunistic this club was last year and how they were happy to use a club’s vulnerable position to basically call the shots on a player’s trade value (i.e. the Jaidyn Stephenson situation). They started with a future 3rd. We will say no and then they bump up the offer. How do you not understand basic negotiations?

Richmond’s now in a vulnerable position and the same type of behaviour is starting to emerge because Richmond definitely doesn’t hold the upper hand in these negotiations. As long as CCJ is willing to go to them at any cost, North Melbourne can basically name their price and Richmond isn’t able to do much about it. No surprise they are starting with a 3rd round pick AND asking Richmond to send back a 4th round pick. So not even a straight 3rd round pick. A 3rd round pick and asking for a 4th back. That’s clowning around if you ask me.
I don’t have confidence that North Melbourne will not take full advantage of the circumstance we’re in. Do you now understand why there are people like me that are taking exception to the way North Melbourne’s going about things?
Yes, I would. I don’t want to see Richmond take advantage of another club like this just because they have the PSD. I understand if the other club’s being unreasonable, but Richmond’s honestly not asking for a whole lot.If it was the other way around? Would you be upset with the club for doing what’s best for them and not North?
The AFL 100% need to put a rule in that a player can't qualify for the PSD if the average yearly salary is over $300k. The fact that clubs can use the PSD as a threat is a joke. They should be forced to use an actual draft pick in the National Draft.Instead of thinking people are simpletons that don’t understand how negotiations work, maybe read my post and realise that it’s not my failure of understanding negotiations that’s my problem here. Throw Brodie into the equation somehow and there’d be interest .Soooo…..
CJ and pick 7 for Larkey & pick 20?
Just let him walk to the PSD if we don’t get any compo better than whatNorth have offered. North lose pick 1 in PSD and I agree he’s a dud. Look on the bright side we’re gaining a list spot.CCJ is so overrated, Jee wiz. He has done sweet f all for us, besides beat up a rubbish Adelaide side. I’d take a future 5th rounder that’s how average I believe he is. Yes taller players peak when they are older ok fine, but seriously. The guy has 0 campaigner, weak in the wet and an 0 personality. Go and get f’d CCJ.
We all know he and stacky got into a fight with each other when they got back to the hotel on the Gold Coast, thats why you’re leaving the club you pig
TLDR: CCJ GO AND GET FD TO NORTH. Over rated dud.Trade him for nothing so we can move on with this trade period Seriously. When are north gonna win 3flags in 4 years ? Never.
Soooo…..

Yep, it’s already been revised to pick 40.They started with a future 3rd. We will say no and then they bump up the offer. How do you not understand basic negotiations?
Embrace the carnage imoOk I am asking one more time.
Cut the sh*t posts out please.
If it’s not talking about actual trade scenarios I’m going full on with the Thor hammer.
We simply don’t have time for this.
Easy to say when you don’t have to deal with the falloutEmbrace the carnage imo
Nah I semi agree. I haven’t really seen anything to bad what sort of things are you referring to just so I knowEasy to say when you don’t have to deal with the fallout
