Not exactly true... Eilish Sheerin was awarded a free kick when one of the blues pulled her hair by the ponytail on the weekend... kick ended up on Katie Brennan's hands who played on to kick the sealer regardless.
Yeah but pulling hair was obvious the rest they let so much go. The girls go in hard and do anything where the Man Are more reluctant as the penalties are huge eg 50 meters. I think they let it go and want there game to flow but sometimes you need to stop high head tackles.

I wonder if we'll take a look at Josh Walker as a very cheap insurance policy for Lynch/Riewoldt? He started his career as a forward and has always looked a solid player. If we want to win a flag in 2023, taking every opportunity to rest Riewoldt and Lynch through the season might make the difference.

Broady from us. Hope he stays a 1 club player. love mint cans
You didn't mention Jason Castagna. As a 27 year old with 3 (maybe 4) premiership medals and receiving a $600k x 4 year deal from the Gold Coast Suns, surely we get a first round pick as compensation? Same pick as the Hawks got for Buddy Franklin. Seems fair.

I was going from the article. Bit of a mixed bag of players FA next year. And Broady was put up as one of the top ones.

But yeah, if someone wants experience of sustained excellence at a high price then Jason is definitely the go.

No I agree - and he can play back and even ruck a bit. Majak Daw-like insurance, hopefully doesn't play a game but if we have a ton of talls go down it's handy to have a guy who can at least placehold. Only works if we commit to playing Ryan, Miller, Gibcus and Bauer first, and prioritise the growth of the list

Josh Walker is a terrible footballer. The fact he has got a game at North for the last 5 years or whatever it is, tells the story as to why North are crap.

I would rather throw a kid to the wolves as a KPF in the seniors that Walker.

Sampson Ryan in the goal square is 10 times better option than Walker.

Oh mate I agree, Walker is no good. But as a cheap insurance policy who never plays a game and gives us a VFL leadership presence for young developing KPPs for two years, he fits the bill.

In my opinion he's too old and is still a very average kick for goal.

And has never been much of a player anyway.

Can see Dees picking up Josh Walker as insurance now that Mitch Brown and Majak Daw have retired.

FFS why not track down Kent Kingsley and draft him again for something like that.

Todd Elton only needs 6 more games!

That's sort of my thinking. Miller is a lock down back (for mine), Gibcus is first in. I'm not sure about Bauer and Ryan is still very young and unproven. Imagine Lynch has a tight hammy and we have to play a game against WCE in Perth. I reckon an old campaigner like Josh Walker could be a good option for minimum wage.

Why ?

Isnt that wy we have Bruer & Ryan for ?
If we need insurance then our 2 boys are it and would deserve their chance to show what they can do at the next level

No, I don't think it is. Both are project players. If they are not playing well in the VFL, we don't want to be forced to elevate them to the AFL.

Walker is an insurance policy. That's all.

We already have jacks replacement.
Gibcus has a great spring. Why waste it down back.
Miller with Balta down back.
Lynch retires we get a fwd via FA which I'm sure Blair is already working on.
Harry Himmelberg is a free agent next year. Would slot in beautify for Jack for a few years. Can also play back if Gibcus does end up as a forward.

He should be our priority.
