The trouble is Gibcus is more mobile and lighter than Balta. I am not sure but based on others comments of Balta Gibcus might be smarter than Balta and Balta has vision issues I think so we are not talking apples and apples

Depends on the contract cost. If they’re cheap what does it matter?
Plus giving top 30 picks 4 years to properly develop seems reasonable to me. We gave stack and RCD 4 years

What’s odd about it? They’re signing a two year extension. All have shown plenty to deserve 4 years of development.
Also considering in 2020 and 2022 we aren’t drafting a lot of young talent, we might as well back our 5 top 30 picks now and not allow them to be poached after their rookie deal is up.

Agree, club have obviously seen enough this year to lock them in and completely takes them off the table from clubs trying to snag one as they come out of the first contract
