He doesn’t play tall because he’s been played as a midfielder. Has he been tried as a tall forward If we can turn a baskerballer into a ruckman surely we can turn RCD into a tall forward

Midfielders who can take contested marks are incredibly valuable. Caddy was the closest we've had since Tuck and Jackson.

Caddy was a forward and then was tried on the wing, don't recall him ever playing much in the midfield for us. We've got Pickett and Kmac on a wing at the moment who are both great contested grabs.

Yeah, agree. We recruited him as a mid, but he never really got a run in there. Had the tools, didn't get the gig.

Kmac is not a great contested mark. He ALWAYS makes a contest, but it's not really a strength. Pickett is a great mark for his size.

Would have to be a 3 year $750k deal that ensure the GWS giants a 1st round compo pick so they don't match
and if he wanted to come they wouldn't match as we wont have a good enough pick to be better than the compo they would receive.

We have already traded away 2023 1st rounder to them and would only have 2023 2nd rounder + 2024 1st rounder
and both of them combined wont value a top 10 pick so they will just take the compo

He has done well as a foward as well but the giants dont have the game style thats conclusive to KPF
I like him and if Ryan , Bauer or New draftee dont show ability i would be all for getting him to Richmond

Yep, a no brainer when we have no limited draft capital next year. Let’s hope he is good mates with hopper and Timmy.

Thats exactly why GWS would let him walk

If he wants to leave and they get a 1st rounder as compo they have no reason to match the offer and force him to stay because he doesnt have to and would enter the draft. GWS wouldnt let that happen

we would hold the whip hand (cant believe i actually used that line lol )

Leave the 750k+(when Lynch retires) when we can afford it on a #1 fwd like a king.

Himmelberg is not a A grade foward but in our system he will be brilliant and a great replacement structurally for Riewoldt
I would offer him a 3x $750k deal to get him over as a free agent then after 12 months extent another 2 years at $500k so his 5 year deal comes to $3,250,000 and averages out to $650k over 5 years

He will turn 28 in may 2024 his first year if he came and play his last year as a 32 year old

I'd rather Gibcus too partner Lynch.

I think $600-$650 is fair. Almost as good as Hopper and Tarranto imo. Might have to pay a premium to get him as we are desperate for a second experienced KPF. I doubt we will be going with cumbo and Lynch for the next few years.
