What happened to the presumption of innocence? ;)

Apparently KB's got two gun grandsons coming through in the next couple of years.

FAMOUS BLOODLINES ON SHOW

THE GRANDSON of Richmond's 403-gamer Kevin Bartlett made his debut in the Coates Talent League last round.

Charlie Richardson, of the Oakleigh Chargers, is the grandson of the five-time Tigers premiership player and ran out for the first time at under-18 level on Monday against the Sandringham Dragons.

The 190cm forward kicked a goal from 10 disposals and four marks and competed well and will be eligible for the draft in 2024 when he turns 18. He showed some of his marking prowess and smarts in attack.

Bartlett also has another grandson in the Oakleigh under-16s program – Callum Smith, a 188cm prospect eligible for the 2025 draft.

Big lads for their age. KB was only 175cm's. Years ago KB was behind the push for Grandfather/Grandson rule. Maybe Benny can implement it when he lobs up at AFL house end of the year. Anyone else pick up on this weeks CHIEF WATCH where Richo went easy on him for once and said how great a job he's doing and how busy he is with all the AFL and Tasmania stuff????? Sounded like he's already commited to Dillon.....

Get them to nominate Richmond, **** the Afl

Spoke to Rance and Edwards last week and they are considering giving it another crack next year too. Getting the band back together
At different times or when they were together? I gotta admit, not sure if I believe this, but how good would it be! Rance should still be playing, and I always thought that Edwards was just a little out of form in his last season.

Could we get Toby McLean from the Bulldogs as a midfielder for 2024?

Always liked him, why he is on the outer? Only 27 so still some good footy to go.

Too similar to Hopper, Taranto and Prestia IMO. We need skill and pace more.

Be interesting to see how Kai Lohmann performs tonight.

I’d be having a go at Elijah Hollands from GC.
Id love to have him at Richmond but cant see what we could give up in a trade

Lets hope the Suns do a Bowes with him but he only has 1 year left on his contract and doubt he would be on big $$$
arrived at the suns injured and didnt play his 1st year.

Father/son

Serious question. Can we get him through the father/son rule as they’re directly from KB’s bloodline?

Aside from the two obvious needs (a key forward and a small forward), I'd also like to see us look at some options for a mid/forward with a good burst of speed out of stoppages who can compliment Taranto and Hopper. Cotch and Prestia are coming to the end and our mid depth at VFL level is pretty thin.

Target number one for me would be Tarryn Thomas. Controversial I know, but now is the opportunity to buy low as I believe he has the potential to be elite. Moving to us with a good group of Aboriginal players (including his cousin Mansell) could be a smart move for him and us.

Another option and more of a bargain buy is Sam Flanders. Has been dominating in the VFL for the Suns, but like a lot of their youn players can't seem to translate this form to AFL level.

Massive **** no to Taryn Thomas. Flanders is ok not a star could play a role

Considering we don't have a first round. And we probably need more draft picks, do we try and recruit through free agents I know HH has been mentioned but maybe a salvagni who would be better than biggy, bradke, and Bauer. We really need our vfl team to put some pressure on the seniors and a few free agents who haven't had much opportunity could add some depth. At the moment if a senior player is out some really unready youngsters are all that is available

What do people think about Brodie McLaughlin and Chris Burgess from Gold Coast? I know that Burgess is a bit too old to be part of our next “wave”, but he Along with McLaughlin could be cheap but decent options for now.

Don’t really know whether they’re good though.
