I’m sorry for my part in the food discussion…I just really wanted to read good news and got a bit off -topic due to disappointment. :(

I have you in my sights girlfriend.😎
seriously everyone take the food stuff to the tan everyone.
it’s my ocd thing on here that I can’t deal with.
I know it’s off season, so I get there is some leeway.

Hopper has been a long time coming. We first had a crack in 2017, then a more serious inquiry in 2020 and we've finally landed him this year. For those that think we might walk away, you'll be sorely disappointed.

I did hear something interesting about GWS. Whilst we are done pillaging them this year, there's a very good chance we go back in 2023 to pick at the carcass. The salary cap pressure won't be relieved with just this off-season. Taranto and Hopper, particularly Taranto are very popular figures at the Giants and should we have a strong year next year, which we will, a further bargaining chip would be Taranto and Hopper telling their former teammates just how good Tigerland is and will be.

Who would we actually want? They don’t have a decent KPF and we’ve got everything else covered.

I mean I’d take Toby but our forward line is stacked.

Had to switch off after 10 seconds. Just can’t do it.

He got half way through a sentence, then stopped. He couldn’t work out how to finish it. Edmund had to take over.

Jobe Watson is worse, swear it takes him an entire quarter to finish his sentence.

Geelong just gave up 5 picks for 1 and just like that, Brisbane has their points.

But how do they do Dunkley now? Who the **** is advising Dunkley, that’ll be two failed trades because he chose poorly.

Cats got bent over by the lions, 5 picks for 1

That one pick, only 13 places higher than the pick they lost (38 to 25) and next years 2nd round could be better!

Andrew Mackie literally showed his hand after one media article. Surreal

Meh they’re gonna bring in Bruhn, Henry, Bowes and 7. That’s a pretty decent draft haul most years. Bowes will be a dud but the others are fine.

If Hopper happens soon and Jack Graham has any concerns about midfield time why wouldn’t we inquire with Collingwood for a trade with Ollie Henry if Geelong are playing games. Win win for both clubs. JG much better for Woods than Mitchell and Henry would be a shot at taking over from Jack R.

Don’t think Henry really has an issue with Collingwood he would just prefer to be at Geelong with his brother

Both party’s happy for him to stay at the pies if a deal can’t be worked out

So the Lions now have 9 picks in the draft this year.

My understanding is that they have to use 7 of those picks on players in the draft (less 2 for trading).

Didn't the AFL change the rules regarding the stockpiling of picks a couple of years ago?

They have to cash in virtually all of them on draft night to get the two father son picks they want.

I don’t understand your middle paragraph.

But they can only use the number of draft picks available to match bids as they have open list spots. I.e they have 5 open list spots, they can only use their first 5 picks to match, the last 4 are useless.

But they can hold all 9 of them until the draft and package up at any time to trade with another team.

Henry is only 189cm. Too small for a Key position

Expect you are correct but the “guru’s” on trade radio said the contract offer to Ollie from Collingwood and lack of finals time might be part motivation to move on. He would be good at the Tiges.

I get that, but if they take all of those picks to draft night then they'll have to have list spots available to pick 5 more players, they basically need 7 spots on their main list to be able to use those picks for pts matching. If Gunston comes in then that's 1 less list spot available too.

Is he best 22 if he comes across?

Lunch, Jack, Dusty, Bolton, Cumbers and MJ is a stacked forward line. Can’t see the point of trading for someone if they’re not best 22.

When are we going on a date? We'll go to Macca's. You're paying.
