Hello Tiger fans!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

I’m probably more of a coin toss if he stays or leaves and can see the pros and cons for each outcome so happy to go along for the ride

I probably have his value sitting around a pick 15 - 18 that would probably get pushed out to around the pick 20 mark on draft night

I would be pretty dirty if the club let him go for any less but that value can be made up multiple ways as well if they didn’t have an exact pick in that range like a player and a pick or multiple slightly higher picks

Also they could give us a lower pick and we throw in some steak knives is also a possibility
Just a question then MM. Do you think they’d have made him VC, and you think he’d accept the role this season, if he was intending on leaving? I just don’t think the club or Baker would go down that path. It’s the main reason I think he will stay, as in it’s been surely discussed before he took the new role.

I don’t think the two things are linked personally

We have seen captains and vice captains opt to be traded pretty commonly so I don’t think it has a bearing one way or another

Just says to me that Bakers head right now is invested in what he’s doing now and where he is now and what happens in the future will work its self out

Personally I would prefer if he stays and I think it is the more likely outcome but I also wouldn’t be shocked or super upset if he does decide to move back west

I don’t think he’s made a decision. So being VC is irrelevant imo

Not since David Cloke left to Coll have we seen it at Richmond and I still haven’t forgiven him

jep, only take a switch to flip for our midfield to look entirely different. prestia won't get another contract and if he does it'll be on peanuts as insurance. kmac and pickett have limited lifespans, we'll see them squeezed out this year. baker is likely to go with freo dangling big dollars and homestate. all of a sudden tarranto and hopper will make sense. we'll need mature, seasoned mids to shield the kids in there. didnt just get them across for dimmas last big swing.
I reckon the mistake was getting them in 2 years before we needed them. It threw us off balance last year as cotchin started forward and we still seem off balance with too many inside footballers. Graham into the centre would have been fine with 4 extra draft picks, and this year as prestia ends we could have seen where we were at (which is lots of draftees). By gees though it would help if we could draft well. Holmes is killing us!

we need to get Josh Battle as a free agent.

Don't care about getting canned for this but I'm getting kind of sick of Bolton continuing to under deliver to his talent level and take lazy shots and misses on goal and field kicks that he should be nailing for his hype.

He's flashy but he's flakey and inconsistent.

Would happily trade for a good deal.

Im with you, he is giving me the shits with his lazy half assed attitude

Over reacting to a wasteful performance tonight. Bolton is coming off 2 excellent seasons, and has given us something in 2 very difficult games for the role he is playing this season. He just fluffed a few chances tonight.

The only positive that comes from Gibcus doing his knee is the opportunity of the midseason draft.

Mutaz El Nour could be one to go after, though he's not full KPD size.
Mutaz is the player i would be drafting now that Gibcus looks like hes done for the year

Jumarra and MRj were like best friends before the draft if there is any chance to get him - YOU JUST DO IT
Id happily give up 2 x1st rounders for a 10-12 year KPF they dont grow on tree's

Easier to get mids later in the draft with later picks or free agent

Specially if Baker leaves and we get a 1st rounder its a no brainer

Scour the state leagues and take the countries best 22 or younger KPP. Doesn't need to be from our own system.

I think Mutaz has been pretty close to being listed in any event, so if he keeps improving and with his familiarity with our systems and players, it could be a bit of a lay down misere to take him mid season. He looks a bit more competitively driven than some of the other Africans we have seen.

We did that and best we ended up with is Lefau and last year Bradke
They are not there and the chances are best you will find is a Kosi / Miller level player

If JUH wants to come you make it happen

Only problem is his size 192cm 88kgs is not really KPD size

We are in deep s**t.
We now need to think about recruiting a key back and Key forward.

We need to take a long term view, which means we need to recruit everything. Hit the draft hard for about 4 years, that will clear up a heap of cap room, then see what we still need then and get the chequebook out. Most players playing tonight wont be in our next flag run, so we need everything.

To be fair, we were not using Gibcus as a genuine KPD at this stage in any event. Mutaz would be a chance to do some justice to the role Gibcus was playing. I suppose it is obvious we will be looking for a tall defender in the MSD, so it would be a matter of trying to find someone better than Mutaz, and if not, give him a go.

Trading all our picks for JUH is suicide. Hes going to command the biggest contract of all time if he chooses to leave. He will want 10 years at 1.2 mil atleast. So they will want more than 2 first rounders. That means we wont have any good picks for 2 more years. Gibcus has been our only top pick for ages and hes in all sorts now. Then when we finally have picks again, Tassie will dominate the draft.

So to win with JUH we would have to build an entire premiership team while completely ignoring the draft. Surely it cant be done.

Now if our injuries start piling up and we start losing 3 good players a week, very tough draw early, maybe we do finish last. Then yes take JUH and be clear from the start that we are taking him in the psd and wont be entertaining a trade.

Cash Broad and Baker in EOY, take the Graham compensation. If Balta up fwd experiment isn't a success poach either Ollie Lord or Mitch Georgiades for fair market value and Balta KPD next year. Hit the draft hard next few years. If JUH and English stay poach Sam Darcy. Keep playing the long game and Tom Green is Free Agent 2027. GC and GWS are overpaying all their guns again gradually plunder 2 or 3 including targeting Lachie Ash as a mid. Next 2-3 drafts must be nailed with no more 1st round busts. Must draft and develop the next Tom Lynch even if we use a few of 1st and 2nd rounders over next few drafts. Pick up another Ruck cheaply and we might be good to ride out the Tassie compromised drafts.
Do it properly. Bolton to WC for pick 1
