Hello Tiger fans!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

tugga you may like to sticky or merge this post, move it to the start of the thread (so the sticky post doesn't rotate if a post is deleted before it), or copy it to your draft thread.

Nah hes a ball magnet unlike his brother. Consistently dominates vfl unlike his brother too
He's a butcher who only runs hard one way. We can't even fit Sonsie into the team, so why would we bring him in?

Casboult is the one probably retiring. But they have witts about 30 y.o. suns drafted Moyle who is first ruck in the VFL plus they bringing in the 3 academy kids. One of whom is a ruck. Plus Chol and Mac Andrew . Maybe they take Soldo too. They do like tall players.

But Soldo is more of a need for us. Give them one of our 50 HBFs

All the sun's current draft picks apparently only get them 2 high picks. They need our picks not our players i think.
Are you factoring in the 20% discount on all 3 of there bids

Sonsie would need to pull his finger out. Plus we need depth badly.
Sonsie is the one I'm most disappointed in, not actually him, but I had high hopes for him this year, I thought he was the best promising young mid in the comp, let alone for us, and not getting a look, for whatever reason, has been disappointing.

The mishap right at the back end of pre-season was far from ideal I assume

I think Paddy Dow's issues are terminal. He kicks it to the opposition's advantage time after time, even when under no pressure. It is a massive passion killer. Taranto is not the best in that regard either, but he has shown himself to be a reliable set shot and he is a massive 2 way runner and strong body in stoppages. Dow gives you the vile field kicking with none of those other benefits. We have the three medium to long term midfielders locked in, Taranto, Hopper, Bolton and we can just patiently look to add the qualities we need to those guys. And avoid undesirable characteristics.

Morris has been talking Thomson Dow up but for mine he is an offload at the end of 2023. So you are probably on the right track in that some midfield depth would be handy. And Paddy Dow has some of the right attributes with his breakaway speed out of stoppages, but he brings too much that is wrong. Sonsie is obviously one player we can look to introduce more to the setup. Ross is another though I suspect he doesn't have a great defensive instinct at this stage. Lions may have a surplus mid or two on their list, maybe some other clubs as well.

Yeah. I asked on the Suns board and they have points for 3 players.
Apparently there's a 4th academy player they may to bid for.
then getting points at the lower end of this draft may still be important to avoid going into deficit next year and affect the position of their first pick next year.

He is just starting to look moe up to speed in recent weeks. He is only second year so the struggles won't hurt him long term.

Yeh I hope so, I reckon he has a massive future in front of him.

I would love to see him in a midfield of:

Taranto
Hopper
Bolton
Prestia
Martin
Sonsie

His skills and ball winning will hopefully take him past the likes of Graham really quick.

I'm sure Meatball said last year he absolutely loves playing mid with Sonsie as was super excited for what he has to offer, that was leading into finals I think

Yeah he has had a really disappointing year after promising so much last year. Hopefully just 2nd year blues.

Yeah you're probably right. We should be targetting someone like him for sold cheap depth though.

We went into today's game with Riewoldt, Miller and Pickett as our three key forwards.

If we want to contend next year we need to replace all three. Lynch will obviously replace Jack, but that still leaves us ideally needing a forward/ruck and a mobile third tall.
I’m not as sold as some people that Samson Ryan has a future but I think he at least shows glimpses and there is more upside with him, he is also a decent finisher. I think the time is right to bring him back in for Miller now and hopefully give him some good confidence heading into next year. Bauer is probably worth another year on the list to try and be the mobile 3rd tall your asking for however he probably isn’t the answer immediately if we are wanting to challenge. Bradtke nowhere near it for mine. Himmelberg is the right fit but I’m not sure I like the long term contract for him.

JFC people now unironically suggesting we go for Dow's equally deficient brother - Sonsie might've struggled this year but he played to a higher level last year than I've ever seen from Paddy Dow.:$

Ryan needs to get fitter and start clunking more marks. I'm hoping another preseason in the gym will see him progress. He's looking more like a ruck, than a key forward though due to his tap work being so good.

Miller has huge question marks over his competitiveness, and historically talls that fall down in this area don't make it (Vickery, Griffiths, Elton, Schache, etc.). I'm with you that we're better off investing the time into Ryan.

Bauer I think ends up being an intercepting third tall down back that can be swung forward occassionally. That's where he's looked most impactful at VFL level.

Paddy Dow attended 6 centre bounces V pies and won 3 centre clearances plus 2 stoppage clearances in 40 minutes game time. I know it's fun to say he's s**t but he'd add something different to our midfield mix with his burst from stoppage and he'd cost nothing.

Our midfield depth is horrendous but it'd also mean we'd have to keep Thomson on the list....
His kicks went 60 mtrs
30 in the air and 30 sideways

He’s been blocked for ops of late that’s why we need the likes of cotch to retire , his form has been good enough for a call up , no spots

Not sure if this has been posted but I've been told Harry Himmelberg to Richmond is all but done...and he's on pretty big money too. Apparently Sydney offered the same money as the Tiges but he can't stomach going across to GWS main rivals.
Wow , he’s a bloody good player HH , anyone who says otherwise hasn’t watched gws this year . Yea tbh I couldn’t see him going cross town , if he were to, leave it would be to experience playing at the G or else stay

Very strong.
A current GWS player.
Oh My George Takai GIF

I really hope this isn't true. Could be what we look at in hindsight as the second step on the road to terminal mediocrity.

Don't really care what people say about him but he isn't a tall with presence and therefore not a player worth more than 650k

Currently they have 4309 points
If the 3 main kids are nominated pick 1,,pick 8 and pick 15
That's 4562 points they need including the 20% discount
So only 253 points short
I can't see any club coming up with any deal to satisfy gold coast in giving up there pick 5

Surely the dogs are gws main rivals not the swans
