Hello Tiger fans!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

Is Gibcus as good as what people make him out to be - great to compare his stats with Tyler Young
He was decent.
A mix of good games, reasonable, poor and mediocre … as a first year player does put together.
Showed great potential of being better than average but we’ll likely never know

He was good in his first season given he’s a 196cm KPD. His athleticism is ridiculous and just from his junior highlights you know he’s something special…. let’s pray he gets his body right. Having said that he won’t be at his peak until 23yo onwards.

Kid has a freakish as hell leap. Always remember him being the highest in the pack right at the back

Interesting the chat about Kosi playing back. Yze might think that's his best spot as he was drafted as a CHB who seemed to struggle at AFL level in this role early on. Matured a bit and maybe ready to be tried there again???

If he could hold down CHB, it would be bloody delicious and allow Balta to play FF and 2nd ruck, or FF full time with Ryan chopping out.
Newy has coached him for 4 yrs so clearly rates him. As u mention he certainly gives us options

Perfect pair of key defenders Young and Gibcus. Young has shown he can lock down and play off his man, so will get the main forward. Gibbo with his athletic profile will rule the air in the back line and propel attacks.

Grimes has been the perfect hybrid defender. Kills the most dangerous forward - victims Stringer, Charlie Cameron, Charlie Curnow...
Will need to be managed to get the best out of him in what looks to be his final year of footy.

Vlastuin, Broad, Rioli are still very good defenders and Shorty also plays best down back.
Balta or Kosi to play as the 3rd KPD

Yerrrrp , he’s always been a keen blues fan tho by the looks , the y&b bug didn’t bite
Probably because his dad only played a handful of games.

Tommy Morris has been spending too much time with Korn. I’m not saying we had a great trade period by any stretch. But getting a need filled with Kosi for a bag of chips, and 2 x 2nd rounders for a back-up ruck was pretty solid business given the lack of assets we had …. Morris rated us 18th… below Freo who got nobody and lost Schulz and Henry, two very important and promising players in their prime.

And below Cats who also got nobody and lost a 25 KPD hitting his prime for 1 x 2nd rounder and some garbage picks.

The hate is strong amongst the media … very strong ….

In a village full of idiots, he is the village idiot

That’s arguable tho structure wise an improvement with McKay , Gresham is crap , Goldstein is now invisible , read same for duursma , who else they get
Thats just Bias.

Mckay now their best KPD by a mile
Gresham is not crap, averages 20 possies and a goal - walk up start best 22
Duursma at his best or close to will easily be best 22 - he plays every game now unless injured
Goldstein will play alot of footy and will be serviceable

Cost them **** all and now still have all their picks to hit the draft, its bias to suggest they didn't do well in a year where there wants much to choose from.

It is laughable that Tom Morris should even be on air sitting in judgement of the list management at clubs. He has exactly zero expertise in the matter. I was able to listen for about 4 clubs worth of his esteemed judgements. He was criticising clubs for not doing enough in the trade period as if making bad moves is better list management practice than making no moves.

I thik the criticism is that they spent elite-level money to bring in mid-range players.

Agree mate, but thats not the argumemnt in here for the most part. Its also relative, they have so much cap space that they need to spend it somewhere.

I think their team in 2024 is better ‘man for man’ than it was in 2023, but this doesn’t automatically
mean they’ve done well. Committing to McKay, Gresham and Duursma for 4+ years on a combined ballpark of $2m/season may or may not prove to be prudent use of their salary cap, regardless of not costing them much in draft picks.

I really don't mind reading that though, so often these media experts come out and make these statements and end up with egg on their faces.
Chat around us having to rebuild after 2016, West Coast tipped for the spoon in 2018 etc, etc the list goes on. Gives me a bit of hope that things might not be as bad as it seems.

We didn't, he was relisted so is not an Unrestricted Free Agent.

Checked Footywire which shows Kosi out of contract next year, which is also incorrect.

Noah was delisted and then re-rookied, which makes him an unrestricted free agent end of 2024

Goldy will also take pressure off Draper and allow him to rest forward where he’s been dangerous.
