Actually what I heard since the start of the year, he will be our next captain. he loves the club, the boys around him. lives with Sonsie and really has taken the younger players under his wing. He also is cemented in Melbourne now. IMO most took the fact he owns a house in perth to equal he is gone. Now I may be wrong, I'm not Liam baker but where I get told info like this is from a bloke who would know and he has yet to be wrong.

Cheers for asking brother. The neuro has worked out its my sympathetic nervous system, its always on, does not switch off. It explains why I wake up every 2 hours as my brain kicks in as soon as i start to hit rem sleep. The issue is that its affecting my blood pressure and hart rate as well. Good news, now im on the right mix of meds so just have to give it time to get right. The positive is that I should 100% recover. I never knew getting a head hit could cause so much shit lol

I'm not keen to trade Lynch unless we have a ready-made replacement. Need someone to anchor the forward line and help develop young forwards for the next year or two.

It does make a lot of sense. Rebounding defenders and small forwards are the only two areas where GC's list could be improved.

Daniel leaving Maurice was the one part of the GC move that didn't quite add up, but if they want both then it suddenly all makes perfect sense.

I think if we lost MJ we'd need to go out and find another small forward. I did read something somewhere that we had interest in Sydney's Jacob Konstanty, who is stuck in the VFL getting decent numbers for a small forward.

If there's truly interest in the Rioli's from GC, would we look at Ben Ainsworth as part of the deal as a small forward replacement? Age is possibly a little older than ideal, but could fill that need.

Rioli x 2 for GC 1st + Ainsworth?

Or we ask for Jed Walter?

Prestia (retired)
Martin (retired)
Naismith (retired)
Coulthard (delisted)
Colina (delisted)
Green (delisted)

Free Agency:
One of Graham or McIntosh will depart via free agency and IMO it will be Graham that departs

Trade:
I don't believe Baker will leave as he seems very much invested in the future of the club and could very well be the next captain to lead the next era back to the top. I do however believe that there is more of a chance that both Riolis move to the Suns, Daniel gives Hardwick the run and carry he would love from HB, while Maurice brings pressure to their forward line that they lack. The Suns have the draft assets to get a deal done.

Agree with this. I have not heard confirmation about Rioli to gcs but there is alot of talk about it from the right areas. I'll update once I hear anything either way when I believe it's solid, not just speculation.

Agree with those delist/FA. Wouldn't surprise if only one of Pickett/KMac are re-signed though.

Think we have 8 picks and 2 mid season guys so 10 list spots to create. Graham out makes it 9 picks and 11 spots. We should be able to upgrade a few of the 3rds into a 2nd pre draft so should all work out on that basis.

Think we have 8 picks and 2 mid season guys so 10 list spots to create. Graham out makes it 9 picks and 11 spots. We should be able to upgrade a few of the 3rds into a 2nd pre draft so should all work out on that basis.

As it stands we have 23 (20 senior & 3 rookies) signed for 2025 and beyond.

From our current unsigned rookie list of Coulthard Trezise Colina Lefau Campbell Blight & Gray, I'd re-sign Trezise and replace Coulthard and Colina with Blight and Gray on rookie deals. I'd then elevate Lefau and Campbell to the senior list.

That would see the rookie list being: Trezise Bauer Young Hayes-Brown Blight & Gray. That is 6 rookies for next year and would give us 22 on the senior list.

That would leave the following to be signed for 2025

Smith

Cumberland
Ryan
