Trade paperwork lodged. North Melbourne trade its 2023 Round Two Pick and 2023 Round Three Pick (Special Assistance Picks) and its 2023 Round Four Pick to Fremantle for Griffin Logue, Darcy Tucker and 2023 Round Three Pick.

Yeah those priority picks being labeled as having to trade for players was farcical.

They really served no function, it was never going to bring more players to north, it was purely an exercise in lessoning the outcry of north getting priority picks.

Without them, north still would have gotten logue and tucker, they just would have used their own picks.

A Crows mate just told me that Port will pay up for JHF because they won't get him through a trade next year, North will finish bottom again so they'll just re-sign him through the PSD.

Where in Gods great earth do these idiots get such idiotic ideas? SEN?

The way some fans think is that they would rather screw over a player at the detriment of actually improving their club's fortunes. Beggars belief, really.

Because we know John Doe is In The Know

Imagine a world in which you felt one of the most valuable commodities in the game, key forwards, were something that you could secure with a 27 year old small forward who has played 50 games at barely a goal a game.

The fans may be delusional, but you can sure as hell bet that behind closed doors these discussions are not happening. No doubt WCE will be in Georgiades ear for his entire career, but there's zero chance any conversation is happening around him or Marshall right now.

Mitch is only what 21, he has already kicked as many goals and had substantially more shots for goal than Rioli and is one of the brightest up and coming key forwards in the game. I actually heard some of their fans saying a top 10 pick is too much for him lol. He's worth far more than a top 10, far, far more.

Or, they trade Pick 15 to us for our plethora of Picks we received yesterday from the Dees.
It is win, win; we get 15 and the Lions get more points (for their two f/sons)
Can't do that anymore.

You can only take the number of picks to the draft as you have spots open on your list.

Rowe said that on 5aa yesterday

That board has its head so far up its own ars3 it’s not funny. Delusions of grandeur for sure, the other board is just venomous and angry lol.

It's been about 6 or 7 years since I moved back to Adelaide from Perth so it's easy to forget but Eagles supporters are by a long long margin the worst.

Also this John Doe guy, imagine feeling so into yourself that you just make shit up and post it in this fashion. I really think his tweets should be blacklisted from our boards.

Nick Haynes name being floated about. Even injured this year he is twice the player Clurey or Jonas is. What would his worth be (at 30)?

Marshall or Georgiades for Rioli , omg how are these ridiculous trade suggestions still floating about. Surely trade talks between West Coast and Port aren't still at these maturity levels?

Trade paperwork lodged. The GWS Giants trade its Round Two Selection (21) and its 2023 Round Two Selection to the Brisbane Lions for its Round One Selection (15).
So Brisbane trade their 2023 first and GWS 2023 2nd for Dunkley I'm guessing. Then trade 21 down for points.

Maybe we can use the picks we got from Melbourne to trade up to 21, then ontrade that for JHF along with the two firsts? Get AFL permission to trade out our 2023 second, trade that to West Coast for Rioli and another pick for Ratugolea. Basically trade out of two drafts for JHF, Rioli, Ratugolea. Probably worth it. Almost worth it for JHF alone tbh.

Huge gain by Brisbane. Likely this will end up around 600 gained draft points.

Gotta wonder why GWS would do that trade though. Must be expecting to use minimal picks next year, and be holding enough 1st rounders next year to just use them?

Makes sense. Gives them 12, 15 and 19 this year. Next year they'll have their own first rounder plus another one from Richmond for Hopper.

Not sure it'd make sense now. If we traded up to 15, we might've been able to do 8, 15 and a 2nd for JHF. Keeping next years 1st in tact. Then maybe Bonner for Rioli.

If we gave up 33, 43, etc for 21, then we would only give that for JHF with the 2x 1sts, because no one is trading 21 for Rioli, and you would lose the pick 43 perfect currency for Rioli.

Personally it would seem that the GWS to Brissy deal would rule out any chance we deal with them.
