Missed the game today but pleased to see my man Foster kicked another 2 goals. He’s got a long way to go but seems to regularly get a couple of goals a game. Just waiting for his breakout game…

Was at the game today and Foster did some good things. He’s got some good forward attributes that we’ve seen a few times through the season. But today he was chasing and doing some more team things.
I love the energy he brings, the goal celebrations even when it’s not his goal.
If he can work up to get to afl level he’d be a club fan favourite and hated by other fans. I hope we give him the time to see if he can make it.

Stanley, Bews and Parfitt played well, nobody was smashing the door down but it’s good we have some backup options running into finals. Plus good to see the vfl team having a good season.
Stanley will play some games in the run home as DK will need a rest.

Can't agree on Jed. 18 rounds in and we've barely looked like playing him.

I could be well wrong on this but I feel (rightly or wrongly) we were looking very closely at playing Bews this week v Pies. Given how poorly we defended Pies small fwds at times could argue he'd have contributed to a better result too.

Big George got a vote!

Unhappy with being shunted to the VFL?
Yeah... Pretty much.
Had his best preseason in about 6 years.
He thought he was still in the mix, but the club thought differently.
Might get a look in as they concentrate on who will actually contain dangerous small forwards when the whips are cracking at years' end.

If he'd been starring in the VFL, he'd have put pressure on to get his spot back. On the contrary, he's been pretty average in the VFL for most of this season (with a bit of an improvement more recently). So if he's annoyed, he's got nothing to blame but his own performances.

Its the danger of being a role player, if your role isn't required then you don't have the ability to slot in elsewhere.

Definitely going early now.

Jhye Clark, Tanner Bruhn, Ted Clohesy, Mitch Hardie and Brandon Parfitt should see us absolutely smack them in the midfield. That's the standard we should be expecting tomorrow. Anything less is underperformance. 3 with good amounts of AFL experience and two in the coaches votes top 10.

Footscray are a fairly decent team at their best though

Key back in the ruck. VFL listed players through the midfield.
As I said, will not be pleased if our midfield does not do well.
