Port Melbourne footy ground can be a scary place at night.

Many, many, many moons ago, when I was still playing cricket, we did pre season training at the Port Melbourne indoor cricket centre. Afterwards, the coach had us running the streets on Port Melbourne. For some reason, the ground was open - he made us run up & down the stairs in the grandstand in the dark!! I'm pretty sure we were not alone.

Yeah that selection was a head scratcher. If they didn’t want to make McInnes the sub the third week running they shouldn’t have handed duties over to a player with less miles in the legs. Maybe Bianco might have been a better option.

Be interesting to see if Steene can have a big game. It may force the match committee's hand to take him to Brisbane next week.
I have a feeling Brisbane will play McInerney and Fort on Thursday to expose our lack of rucks. If that’s the case, Brisbane may drop Hipwood, which will be one less marking key forward to worry about, eventhough they will have McInerney and probably Fort resting forward, alongside Daniher.
Just looking at our seconds, there's no other tall backs, as l can see Kelly selected to play on the wing, but will play back surely.

Why was Carmichael selected to play last night if he did not play at any level the previous week? He was underwhelming once on the ground and looked slow and short of a gallop. Seems a very odd decision to make him sub.
