Huge positive for me! One of them, a guys who sucks up to Koch & Hinkley, the other, a guy who was willing to stand up for what he believed was right. Sacked by his employer, vilified by the press, and attacked from every corner by the public. All for something he decided personally to do, not preaching what others should do!

Perfect person to march into the maelstrom that awaits him in the Kock-led boardroom.
And that really is “bloody well said”!!!!

If your a member make sure your DOB is registered with the club, otherwise I don’t believe your eligible to vote. They may assume your under 18.

If Ivan Milat was running on a Sack Hinkley ticket, I'd at least hear him out.

Warren joining the board is the only ray of sunshine I foresee with this club leading into 2024. I have been disengaged for years. The club is unrecognisable. Unfortunately our wider supporter base are far more gullible than Crows supporters and just don't see the deep putrid culture we have become accustomed under this regime. I am embarrassed listening to many of these supporters. So weak...

Warren is important to begin this new journey. I personally let him know this!
And if he doesn't win, nothing about this putrid club will change. Which is why it's so important that he wins!!!

I for one back Tredrea for football reasons and am going to bury my head in the sand wrt his anti vax stance and just pretend it isn't a thing ¯\(ツ)/¯

For people in the know, do we find out the vote count afterwards? I don’t think they’ll try anything funny, but there is a part of me that thinks they will try.

And football reasons is literally the only reason anyone should be voting either Bruce or Warren onto the Board. Warren's opinion regarding any medical decision for that matter is completely irrelevant with respect to making decisions regarding football.

Let's just remind ourselves he's not being considered for a position on the Board at Western Hospital.

Interesting email that came through today.

Bruce Abernethy has reached out to the group regarding the upcoming Board Election.

Bruce has nominated for the Member elected Board position and would like to meet with the Victorian Supporters Group, to discuss his plans should he be elected.

He will coming over to Melbourne to meet with Victorian Supporters on Tuesday 30 January 2024. The venue will be Transport Hotel in Federation Square from 5pm onwards.

If you are interested in attending please let me know as soon as possible.

The perfect reply would be: See you next Tuesday

I've posted before (at self indulgent length) about Tredrea's suitability for the board. He has undeniable football expertise, but he will still be required to deliberate on non-football matters. If the question were simply "In isolation, is Warren Tredrea the best person for our board?" I'd have to give it some thought. If there was another candidate with equivalent football expertise (doubtful) who had legitimate points of difference to Tredrea, I'd have to think about that vote, too.

Fortunately, the question(s) are more complicated and so the decision is simpler.

I don't trust the current board, particularly it's chairman and his closest allies.
On football matters, I trust Tredrea to make much decisions than the current board.
On non-football matters, I trust Tredrea to make decisions at least as good as the current board.
On football matters, I trust Tredrea to make much better decisions than Abernethy.
On non-football matters, I trust Tredrea to make better decisions than Abernethy.

On that basis, it seems pretty reasonable to vote for Tredrea without fretting or gritting my teeth.

It's completely consistent to disagree with Tredders vax stance and also want him voted onto the board of the Port Adelaide Football Club. It's about wanting qualified experts in charge of decision making. Tredrea is one of the most qualified people on the planet to help guide the Port Adelaide Football Club to onfield success.

Tredders is about as qualified to talk about vaccines as Koch is to run a football club.
