Gonna be one of the toughest days of his life leaving Charcoal Chicken, judging by how much it's brought up.

Almost feel sorry taking the lad away from paradise.
Shades of Mitch O'Neill returning to captain Tasmania.

You can thank me for influencing The Pie Man by spamming his computer with all these subliminal clips.

After I spoke with JL & Simmo, on Monday Simmo was dead set on getting Culley, but said he was really worried because The Pie Man had his heart set on a skillfill Half back flanker that had midfield potential.

JL asked Simmo if he had seen The Pie Mans favourite??? ....... and Simmo said NO he hadn't because the Pie Mans favourite had been injured for the past two season but he apparently starred in the national Under 15's.

So I came up with a way to attack The Pie Mans Computer

I bombarded it with subliminal images, some examples see below:

RO'B being a Victorian hadn't ever heard of Culley's PIES.

Looks like the idea worked. :thumbsu: :whitecheck:

Simply cannot wait for everyone to tear this kid, the club and eachother apart when a 19 year old with no preseason takes a while to get up to speed.
Sounds like the club is being pragmatic even if BF isn't. Settle in, play WAFL and take it from there.
Hype aside he is still a kid in the highlights, but a big strong kid, paying under age footy.

His highlights are nice but he also just seems like a real hard worker who has cracked in and is absolutely stoked to have earned his shot.

Good size, valuable skills and the right attitude - what's not to love?

I for one welcome our new mid season draft saviour…

This fella turns out good..
Chesser is a cracker
We take that Hewitt kid
Clark and West for added grunt
Sheed and Kelly with Gaffy on a wing.

Yeo rehabbing whatever this time.

Nic Nat with a baby on the way…

Maybe we’ll be ok?
Take wardlaw over Hewitt the kids a bull.Hewitt been a bit underwhelming in league and academy game.

What size ????????? Does it fit ?????????? ;)
It fit, which made me wonder if he bought it himself (or provided by his manager).

Surely one of the first 4 (probably Nth) guaranteed they would take him if he got through, so only needed a selection of 3-4 polo's.

Apparently we didn't call him to tell him we were taking him, not sure if that is him still pretending and sticking to his story, but I would have thought that a call would have been appropriate just before the draft.

He'll likely play WAFL for the rest of the year, hopefully have a really good preseason and then step up to AFL.

He's not plug and play. I actually can see him starting off at HBF before moving into the midfield. Great mark, good one on one, goes hard and is a booming kick.
I'd be really surprised if we didn't get a look at him this year.

Give him a month in the wafl and if he looks ok, give him a crack.

More Jai Culley content.
Interesting part was him saying he's flying to Adelaide tomorrow, will hang around for the game then over to Perth.

Before anyone gets too excited the club has already said that they wanted to give him a dull week training before a WAFL debut.

Why would you call and tell the player.

I mean seriously, for this kid it's the biggest day of his life so far. He knew he was almost certain to get picked up but let the kid have at least some surprise and build up to the announcement. With all of the offseason work he's done and how he's performed so far this year it gives that sense of satisfaction that it's paying off and being pick 1 in any draft is still a big thing.

For all the talk about up and coming mids we have we could very well find them all starting from HB particularly if we have a fit midfield with Nicnat and Yeo back in there, Sheed on one wing and Gaff on the other. Only leaves 2 primary midfield places with a couple of rotations coming from Rioli and the kids. I really hope Shuey retires and Redden goes on for one more year. I love shuey but I think he's just about cooked. Don't be surprised if he's a late out this week or not listed to play due to a cracked rib.

A dull week of training?

So he isn’t getting injured for a little while then?

Love the fact he wasn’t up to it and worked his guts out to be a standout. Hopefully we can expect him to do the same to get up to AFL standard and beyond.

He doesn’t seem the type we normally pick, so I hope he doesn’t get lame eagled
Too much charcoal chicken
