Those who compile those highlights videos tend not to show a lot of that inside stuff - doesn’t mean it’s not there - just that the editors don’t seem to think that constitutes good highlights.
Gee his 20m sideways chips will go a lot flatter than faster than most of his teammates!
The lack of exposure of Vic kids would no doubt have hurt his chances if he has some perceived question marks. Personally, him being overlooked last year given the circumstances doesn’t phase me one bit. This could possibly be the best year to hold pick one in the MSD.
from this limited footage that now makes me an expert, I'd reckon Luke Parker could be a good player he could model his game on.
By all reports he played forward more and wasnt fit enough to play midfield, but then he trained hard on his speed and effort etc and made it to the midfield this year
Finally watched highlights. He's a big kid, can't wait to see how much muscle he can put on without losing his athleticism.
His workrate to get to where he is now has me excited if it continues and he doesn't consider getting on an AFL list as mission accomplished.

Also, he worked with a sprint coach over summer, to increase his explosiveness over the first 5-10m, which he said helped him immensely in games this year.

Every player in an MSD will have a question on them because they'll have been looked over in a national draft or delisted by an AFL club (or both).
Of this group Culley was clearly the best pick on performances, age (not even a year out of his first ND eligibility), one of the highest ceilings and plays the exact position and role we are most desperate in.
Ryan Daniels tweet had him late teens to early 20's if he opted out and waited for the ND and that's been pretty consistent from numerous people for about 1-2 months now. Getting a free hit on a pick at that level in the MSD is just simply good business and had to be done.
With Port's second rounder that's effectively four top 30 picks this year (unless port play a blinder in the second half of the year).
The youngster has done well to put his name in the spotlight and the club has done the right thing by making the clear and obvious choice - not something we've done much lately.
