Lets put it this way .....if AFL Medicos have cleared Stephenson to play, i accept that 100% ......if they're wrong & there is an issue, the AFL will be sued by:
a) The Stephenson family
b) The drafting club
The AFL is risk adverse .....Stephenson is fine

This is dumb, as usual. It’s not AFL’s job to clear him, in fact it’s **** all to do with them
7.10pm best guess .....official draft starts 7pmWhat time do they take the first pick? Also, when is the rookie draft?
Its their job to make sure that nobody has even a remote chance of dying in an AFL match.
I predict we take a player at each of our picks. Some of the usual draft watchers will say they knew who it would be all along, despite never having mentioned them
And Marty will melt
Nah, I’m just suggesting we need more mongrel... and using David Mackay as the great example of the frustrating lack of mongrel we have!
Both could be developed fwd with scope to move to the midfield. IMO, Stephenson a better fit for pies as a likely winger/part time inside mid, with Degoey et al as big bodies inside.Gut feel tells me Pies will take Stephenson at 6
Wonder what this means for Fog
Don't be worrying about any of that with Worpel. I've seen plenty of him, he's is a pure footballer in the Matt Crouch mould except bigger and quicker and a more penetrating kick, guarantee he will not take a backward step. Comes from a little town Lethbridge half way between Ballarat and Geelong, a really country lad...has 11 other siblings in his family so doubt he'd be in a rush to head home.Via AFL Draft Central:
#37 James WORPEL
Inside Midfielder (Geelong Falcons/Vic Country)
24/01/1999 | 185.1cm | 85.5kg
Scouting notes: Cracks in hard winning the ball in the contest and is one of the best clearance players in the 2017 draft pool. Question marks are on his kicking, where at times he will just bomb it out of the packs but he did show in the National Under 18 Championships that he was able to stop and find a target without rushing. Tackles well but has areas to address to be a top 30 selection.
Strengths: Inside game, tackling, leadership, scoreboard impact
Improvements: Kicking, agility
Combine test results: 20m Sprint (secs) – 3.08 | Agility (secs) – 8.89 | Yo-Yo Test (level) –20.8
EDIT - he wasn't in the top 10 in any of the combine tests
Think they'll take him if North pick Fogarty at 4. Otherwise they'll go with DF.Gut feel tells me Pies will take Stephenson at 6
Wonder what this means for Fog
It’s Happening!!!!pies didnt take fogarty, still a chance!
