The Tigers reportedly made a Ball to Collingwood type promise to draft Bachar Houli in the NAB Draft rather than the PSD. My source told me and then it was later published on the AFL website in the Bachar Houli article.

What I believe (no source, just an educated opinion) of what the final trade will look like;

To Carlton: Andrew Collins + #80 + #97 (4th and 5th round picks)
To Richmond: Shaun Grigg + #70 + #87 (5th and 6th round picks)

At any rate I don't think those picks will matter terribly much to Carlton but it may help the Tigers out as I fully expect those two picks to be the selections we use to upgrade Jeff Garlett and David Ellard. Richmond uses the two picks to have an upgrade of potential prospect which they've shown themselves to be quite handy at doing.

Please tell me you're joking? Considering that the Tigers had the upper hand in that Grigg could walk and be picked up by them in the draft if we didn't agree to their terms, we have been lucky to come out of this with a young player with good skills and courage and toughness.

I'm not totally convinced about Collins TBH - not sure where he fits in our best 22, but hope we can get the best out of him. Anyhow, it's the best we could have done from a position of considerable weakness, considering we were facing losing Grigg for nothing or receiving at best a speculative +50 draft pick.
