The thing about him is he looks quite tall as well. Could he be WC's big bodied inside mid they have been after for years? Redden's replacement?

He’s 187. Yeo is 189. So he’s got decent size. But it’s his composure that’s been remarkable. Some kids just adjust to the level, others never do.. but that was 52,000 people v the reigning Premier and he just looks to have time - which is genuinely remarkable in your second game

Shoutout to the piss poor organisation that is the Adelaide Football Club, for the arrogance to tell this kid he wasn’t required. He’d be a walk up starter for that rabble. I was impressed at half time, he went up a level after that.

I heard on 720 this week that it may have been the other way around. Apparently the Edwards family didn't like the treatment of his older brother who was a rookie list spot for the Crows.

11 possessions and 4 score involvements during that last quarter alone against Richmond - in just his second senior game.

That is a seriously good performance - like "Wow, we have found something rare here" serious.

Incredible amount of poise with ball in hand for such a young player - as others have mentioned, it is almost Pendlebury-like.

Just as impressive was his ability to find space and provide a link-up option in moving the ball forward - very quick to see play open up and take the right option.

11 of his total of 27 possessions were contested.

His efforts were the catalyst in arresting the Tiger's momentum and delivering a victory that could prove to be season-defining for the club.

A fantastic match under any circumstances and it should earn him a nomination in the Rising Star.

And a feather in the cap to the recruitment team - a 4th round pick has uncovered a diamond.

And also, thanks again Adelaide (I don't think we are going to tire of that one anytime soon).

I thought we got an average half back flanker. Turns out we got a silky big body mid. Quite honestly has more poise than nearly anyone in our side...in his second game, whilst winning 27 touches.

Thank you covid for his interrupted year, and bigger thank you to the Crows.

His 27 included 11 in the final quarter- hard to overstate the value of that in a team which has struggled to finish out games.

Drafting is an inexact science and every so often a kid comes in and is just way better than anyone has any right to expect them to be.

Looking at him you can see how he slid, none of his physical attributes are that impressive but he just looks a natural footballer- knows how to find the football and uses it calmly and effectively.

Doesn't blindly kick around the corner like Gaff and Sheed do. Actually assesses all the options first and just seems to have a ton of time.

Just like his dad. But pleasingly he may actually be more of a mid than his dad was. Tyson was a superstar so if he's anywhere near as good we've struck gold.
