I would assume there is also now some sort of clause that provides another 2 years if he meets certain game/goal/b&f finish targets as well.
I believe its called a 'gentlemans agreement'..

I said 'potentially'. I thought the reason I said 'potentially' was obvious enough to anyone who knows how to read good and proper like.
No, not finally, we have been doing it for years. Not that there is anything wrong with that of course.
You really think Poort supporters are going to be any more pleasant? Think again. They think Tippo is a complete spud and have been telling us so for years
A Swan supporter politely asked, I politely answered, you personal attack. That says a lot about your character.
How was he aloud to sign for 2 years , I thought once u name ur contract clubs have to sign u for that??
I agreeShould of traded him back then mate and avoided all the collateral damage that was to follow..
Is that really lock 33I believe its called a 'gentlemans agreement'..
Love it. Just love it.Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!
So wait, he actually came to us for less money than Adelaide offered him?
Reading about how we can afford Tippett and have been preparing for free agency has filled me with even more respect for our club. I'm sure we aren't the only ones but the professionalism and vision with which the club is run makes it a great club to support.
The game has changed with FA. Now signing gun 26 year old players is simply about money rather than trying to organise trades. This massively lowers the trade value of gun players because teams can just wait a year or two and get them for free. So we saved money to get a gun player and then, when he wasn't a free agent, refused to give up more than we needed to because in 12 months we could just chase someone else and get them for nothing.
It's great when a plan really comes together
There is the potential that many thousands of Crows fans will buy a ticket to a Poort game just to jeer him, that kind of thing

Tippett's first interview
Welcome Kurt, grab a locker, get to know your new buddies and learn the game plans and the Swans way.
Quietly confident that Kurt will deliver what Daniel Bradshaw was suppose to.
No concussions please, no "run inns" with the AFL and an average of 3+ goals per game while in the Red'n'White should stand us somewhere atop the ladder.
If Bradshaw's body was up to it he would have been a great pickup. Seeing him play for the Swans was a real pleasure.
