I said 'potentially'. I thought the reason I said 'potentially' was obvious enough to anyone who knows how to read good and proper like.

No, not finally, we have been doing it for years. Not that there is anything wrong with that of course. :thumbsu:

You really think Poort supporters are going to be any more pleasant? Think again. They think Tippo is a complete spud and have been telling us so for years

Sure you keep telling yourself all that. If that makes you sleep better at night

But nothing a Crows fan has said on this board has been true once. Add you and your comments to the list.

A Swan supporter politely asked, I politely answered, you personal attack. That says a lot about your character. o_O

Yep, my character is in tatters, how will Chief allow me to continue to be a Mod.......oh right Crows fan opinion again, doesn't count

How was he aloud to sign for 2 years , I thought once u name ur contract clubs have to sign u for that??

Because he named his terms for only 2 years with the first year front loaded. The reports of 4 years at $3.5million were incorrect and we got him on better terms considering his concussion history and reported form issues. We'll put an extension to him at the end of next season

Agree with most of what has been said. Our recruiting guys are simply the best. Every year they seem to outdo the year before. If it isn't a Mummy it's a Teddy or a Kennedy or a McGlynn or a Morton or... And for the premiers to secure such a recruiting coup without losing a damn thing... wow. I had a little chuckle at the contract terms (to think the media would beat it up to such an extent) they are nowhere near some of the ridiculous figures that were being thrown around as gospel. It has just all fit into place for all our other contract terms/retirements/extentions etc etc. Just stoked that we used the cheap detergent and it all still come out in the wash very nicely. Not one stain. Not one mark. Just a premiership and a star foward for free. Loving 2012. And now 2013. Bring it on Swannies. Bring it on Tip. Go you BLOODS!!!

So wait, he actually came to us for less money than Adelaide offered him? :)

Reading about how we can afford Tippett and have been preparing for free agency has filled me with even more respect for our club. I'm sure we aren't the only ones but the professionalism and vision with which the club is run makes it a great club to support.

The game has changed with FA. Now signing gun 26 year old players is simply about money rather than trying to organise trades. This massively lowers the trade value of gun players because teams can just wait a year or two and get them for free. So we saved money to get a gun player and then, when he wasn't a free agent, refused to give up more than we needed to because in 12 months we could just chase someone else and get them for nothing.

It's great when a plan really comes together :)

I remember there was some consternation over the last couple of trading periods when we seemed to keep our Powder dry. I guess we were all getting used to big trades after some blockbusters like 2009 etc.

We did trade - but there was no earth shattering imports. Just clearing out duds (Vez, Johnston), and punting on handies like Andres, Spangher, Armstrong, Morton . But it was all about the National Draft (Luke Parker, Jed Lamb, AJ, Mitchell etc).

I see more clearly now that it was all about surviving the GWS/GCS corrupted drafts, making it a major focus to develop what we have (Reid, Hannas, Jetta etc), sqeezing the veterans a touch harder and setting up for opportunities like KT leading into Free Agency.

It was great watching the last couple of years and initially having no clue where the goals would come from only to discover we'd kick more goals than ever before!

Kudos. :thumbsu:

Awww. Now we're counting his firsts.

He's good depth too. Essentially a LRT but with a less cool name.

Kurt's Captain Welcome.

Welcome Kurt, grab a locker, get to know your new buddies and learn the game plans and the Swans way.

Quietly confident that Kurt will deliver what Daniel Bradshaw was suppose to.

No concussions please, no "run inns" with the AFL and an average of 3+ goals per game while in the Red'n'White should stand us somewhere atop the ladder.

If Bradshaw's body was up to it he would have been a great pickup. Seeing him play for the Swans was a real pleasure.

Agree wholeheartedly. It was a kick in the guts to Braddy, the Swans and their fans that he couldn't fulfil his obligations ... let's hope that Kurt fulfils his.

Extremely bitter that you guys got a player of his calibre for nothing and we lost him for nothing + a lot more. Struggling to even comprehend what has happened. I rate this guys footballing talents highly so to see the premiers take him like this is hard to swallow. Should be a massive coup for you guys.

Shocked Sydney still went after him knowing full well he is a tool and money hungry. Guess it comes down to eyes on the prize.

I wish the swans and tippett much failure ;)

Thanks, but people are so quick to judge someone they don't even know. He's done nothing to prove he's a tool.
