If he's still available regardless of the Crows wants and needs if they overlook Hamish Hartlett they will live to regret it.
Should be taking a forward otherwise, not sold on Lewis Johnstone though.
Dont need a ruckman, you have plenty of them.

Best available player.

An even more interesting poll would be one with those widely considered to be selected between Pick 4 and Pick 14, and who we should target from that crop (we know that Watts, Natanui and Rich will be the first 3 picked).

Best available player, a mid or a defender.

We've already got developing tall forwards and enough ruckmen.

The way I see our list, there arn't area's which are in any greater need than the others, so best available, be it a mid or KPP or perhaps a Yarren, I'm not really fussed. I'm just keeping my mind open and not "hoping" to get a certain player too much, as I think last year, everyone so wanted Ebert and then when we didn't pick him, everyone(myself included for a while) just went into shock. All I can say is it will be interesting

I don't want to see us pick up a ruckman with either of our 1st 2 picks though, but after that depending on who's available a developing ruckman wouldn't go astray, whether it be a Jarred Redden with our 3rd or 4th picks, or perhaps the young Bock (don't write him off, Nathan was a late bloomer) in the rookie draft or something.

i agree with Wizard 9 to an extent - not sold on Lewis Johnstone - i dont think he can be considered to be a Key Position Player - we have young Tex who next year should slot nicely into our forward line along side KT and the Porpoise. Personally i'd like to see the Crows pick up the best available midfielder/onballer. So my vote is best available.

Sounds like an early 60's country/ blues outfit - "Young Tex, KT and The Porpoise"

Im not sold on Johnston neither but I am sold on Trengove.
I am preying we go Swift or the best available midfielder, because I personally believe we will get Schoenmakers 2nd round, and I dont want our first 2 picks to be forwards.

I havent seen any of them play, and you really cant go on the profiles listed on big footy, cos if you read them every player sounds like a champion. But we know that some will turn out to be duds.

So i put my faith in the recruiting network that the Crows have established.:thumbsu:

I want pick 10 to turn our closer to Patrick Dangerfield than that of Laurance Angwin. It doesn’t matter who just as long as they can get on the park.

Hahahaha, true.
Do believe me that Trengove will become a great player. He could easily become a Jonno Brown/Lance Franklin. Franklin could be a better comparison as he has amazing agility and an amazing mark. Not only that, but he can play down back and maybe.. just maybe could team up on Lance Franklin (even though Bock does a good job) and keep him down to 1 possession ;)

I have a great mate on bigfooty who works for the WAFL and very into the draft and he is sold on Johnson. He thinks he is made to be a key forward and he told me to be happy if we got him.. I still dont know though.

And.. he told me Swift is a dud.. and I havent seen ALOT of him but what I have seen.. i liked him :)

I just want the best available footballer: preferrably a mid but wont be to upset if hes a kpp but I want him to be a natural footballer not one who has just started playing in the last year or so.

Sampi MK II

By the sounds could also be a Didak or Rioli MK II, now I wouldn't say no to that and just watching the vids of him definitely has some Shaun Burgoyne about him.

Not saying by any means that I know much about him, but I trust that Rendell would have sussed him out in an interview etc. Just because Sampi didn't work out, doesn't mean Yarran won't.
