Am I reading this right? Pies fans are telling Carlton fans that we can't blame injuries for playing a part in derailing our season... But when asked why the Pies stunk it up big time this season the answer is... Injuries???

Confused Joe Biden GIF by CBS News

Carlton stunk it up big time and finished only % above us due to injuries and their usual easy draw, which they have received again this year. We were also robbed of two wins against Freo and Sydney through the most blatant umpiring manipulation you will ever see.

Our 2 wins (one with our VFL team in) against the Blues gave the true indication of who the better team is.

Ultimately though it’s all about flags - well ones that are earned legitimately…

1. Carlton finished above Collingwood

Excuses that Collingwood supporters make

a) Collingwood got injoorieeez ( we just showed that carlton had far more)
b) Carlton's 'easy draw' (because Carlton beat teams that Collingwood couldn't)
c) Umpires cheated Collingwood ( ahem - asks Norths what they think about yoru 1 point win against them)
d) 2 wins against Carlton ( conveniently forgetting Carlton's injuries - see '(a)' LOL sooooo convincing!

Not me, it was a terrible year for us, and not sure how you feel but many Blues were celebrating.

Our bad year is still a few percentage points off a good year for you though. I feel like both clubs expect the pies will finish higher next year, even if they won't admit it.

I can see Houston making a huge difference to Collingwood abaiulity to move the ball really fast if he plays as a HBF then you have Houston - Nicky - DeGoey -> to forward - I believe that Collinmgwodo will wow a lot of opposition teams with just how fast the team will be able to move the ball end to end via elite kicking ability proven in Houston and Naicos. Houston wont make a huge difference in defensive capability though - I guess that is why Perryman was added- for me he is a 'meh'.

Carlton have backed the existing list as far as developed players go- in favour of adding some youth Smith the Camporeles and a coupoel of other kids on top of picking up Lord in midseason last year. Chopping Cuningham/Marchbank and Martin out of the forever injured list as well as trading Kennedy and Owies out - underlines a pretty big investment into list sustainability - a first for Carlton this century.

The Club is backing the existing spine and hoping for a better injury record under a new regime - this might see a more consistent availability of the blokes that made a prelim in '23 back in the side- a total of 11 missing players from when things went arse up in 2024 - if just Walsh, Cerra and TDK can come back fit and firing that woudl be pretty huge.

Still Colluingwood have a better forward line- as a whole whilst I think Carlton has yoru mob covered for contested play.

Of course according to Collingwodo supporters they are all duds anyway so I udnerstand the dirty birder confidence. Me I'm happy to see a bunch oif talented kids added to VFL squad - added to som eexciting talent under development.

It will be a very interesting year coming up that's for rsure - biut lots of golf and summer surf before all that starts to pan out.

The 2nd win against us had 17 collingwood premiership players in the starting 22. 18 of 23 if you add Lipinski , another premiership player, as the sub.
Schulz, noble, long, bytel and mcstay all additions to the GF team..
Is this the team of VFL players you are referring to ?

Posts inaccurate information, questions the comprehension of others, while continuing to deny it

You really want to keep debating this?

There's nothing to debate as you have not addressed my rebuttal, as usual, the meaning of "likes of", you just keep repeating the same crap like a spambot, we win again

Let it go. Hetero and taken. He's told you before. No means No!

Was that the game where McGovern got the Blueshakes after the siren and wet his pants or was it the game when Nick Daicos blew off Walsh like he was on a walking frame and slotted the winner?

Blues are better at turning wine into water.
Andrew Russell oiled the engine of the Mighty 2000 Bombers, greased the bearings of the historiy making 2004 Port and Maintained Hawks three peat 13-15
Blues start 0-60 in a final and give him the Tijuana Brass
Any reference to Tijuana belongs to Collingwood in this thread in case you hadn't noticed

We're just 'gaslighting in kind'.
You think people are just going to nod their heads at your ineptitude offerings, especially while questioning people's intelligence

You've been schooled and you're still salty, grab a lemon and suck it up

A weak rebuttal at that, but keep the debate going, makes you look just as inept

All you are doing is continuing to highlight the extent of your infadguation.
Looks like we have a new Chester

Let it go. Hetero and taken. He's told you before. No means No!

I'm not that way inclined, even if I was, I'd buy a vacuum cleaner and lipstick
