2017 draft:
Carlton: pick 3: Paddy Dow.
Collingwood pick 39: Nathan Murphy.
2021 draft:
Carlton pick 27: Jesse Motlop
Collingwood pick 52 Harvey Harrison

Carlton is more than capable of screwing up another pick 3. Does the experience of history mean nothing to you?
You don't remember the 2013 draft mate, we can play this game all day.

Yeah.

Collingwood supporters can spend all day discussing what their club has achieved.

Carlton supporters try to avoid discussing what has actually happened, and love to spend all day waxing lyrical about why 'next year is going to be different'.

Any explanation as to how Kennedy and Owies would be Collingwoods 30-35th best players despite the gigantic list of duds I mentioned?

Half of them will be lucky to survive another year on an AFL list and none are currently better than either

Saying they will be better is an absolute cop out

Before we pck at no 3 tell me out of the proposed top 4 Lalor, Smith, FOS and Draper which one won't make it?

2013?

More than 10 years ago?

Since which time Collingwood have won a flag, and contended on another three occasions, despite the poor return from our high draft picks in 2013.
Get with the conversation mate and forget about the change of topic.

As I said....

'Carlton supporters waxing lyrical about why next year/the future will be different'.

I hope they all make it, why would I be hoping kids fail?
You've already said our recruiters have a bad record with no 3, instead of waiting till after the fact which one won't make it? I predict all 4 will be very good.

Next year/the future you say... But then ur waffling on like an idiot with posts like this?
Half of those players either are, have been, or will be better players than Owies and Kennedy.

Have been:
Cox
Markov
Frampton

Will be:
Macrae
DeMattia
Allen
Jiath
Ryan
Mcinnes
Sullivan
Long
Richards
Dean

I'd keep all of them on Collingwood's list before picking up Kennedy and Owies. (Noting Richards is no longer on our list)
???

Pies gonna 4peat starting in 2025, no way Carlton get near us.

I disagree with my fellow Pies, Owies a huge lose for the Bluesbecause even though we gave several (many, even) better flankers they are very small poor up forward, and he brings uncompromising effort (another area where Carlton is pretty weak).

If you put McReery or Shukz in that Carlton forward line pencil them in for a prelim.

Another thing that is easily overlooked is the importance of durability.

For a team who believes they have had the worst injury run of all teams every year for the last 10 years, they readily gave up two players who played 47 of a possible 48 games between them last year.

Yeah way back 14 months ago when we won the flag... It's so long ago now it feels more like 30 years... But that's just a feeling. I'd have to defer to you on that.. lived experience and all.

You're not familiar with behaviour of Carlton supporters in the Nick Daicos thread?
I'm only worried about my behaviour mate, the only time i post in that thread was when someone said something stupid about a Carlton player.
