I think Collingwood will finish top 4 and possibly even make the GF.

Good young players coming through.
Experienced classy players like Pendles, Swan, Cloke who have done it before
Good draw.
Well run club.
Genuine talent added in the off season.

They will be next years West Coast. Their main concern is defence and that didn't stop the Eagles this year did it?
Absolutely everything would have to go right for us for something like that to happen, but then again, it's the same as a Doggies, Port and Geelong too.

Realistically, '16 is a jump start to an onslaught for '17 onwards. They should be aiming for a finals spot, and fighting hard for that finals win. That would leave the kids with the confidence and further development to seriously challenge for top 4 in '17 and it's anyone's game from there.

It'll be the same culprits this year who will genuinely challenge for the flag. The Hawthorns, Sydneys and North who are teams to beat. Already battle hardened and able to get to a Prelim and go from there.

WCE can do it again but their game plan could be found out and Freo will struggle with their age profile.

Port and Doggies for me are primed to challenge for top 4 honours and most likely to be this year's WCE.

Very tough call. At the halfway mark of the past two seasons, Collingwood has been sitting inside the top 4 only to fade significantly. Geelong are an amazingly professional team who have rejuvenated their list. Collingwood, too, have added a bit to the list but overall I'd say that Henderson, Dangerfield, Selwood, and Smith add more to the Geelong's chances in 2016 than Treloar, Aish, and Howe add to Collingwood. Interestingly, however, both sides will have some players in who missed the majority of last season. Reid and Greenwood didn't play many games but neither did Duncan and Clark (or Menzel - love this guy). I can't say I'm an expert regarding Geelong's draw but both sides finished in the middle six and should have similarly difficult draws (I'll assume Collingwood's is slightly better). Geelong are a more established team and Collingwood are still building despite showing promise over the past few years. I think both will make finals and I can easily see them occupying consecutive spots on the ladder at the end of the H&A season.

Collingwood will get their usual easy draw, so gives them an advantage
And that COLA thing they get, and 20+ million dollars to keep them a float since their inception.

Collingwood have received more distribution from the afl than Sydney in the last decade
