We didnt wash our hands of the Seedsman situation, however he was forced to retire.

Will hasnt quite got there yet, or maybe he has and he hasnt announced it.

I dont think you're ever over them as such. I reckon he's one or two away from it all being over

The irony is we cut him after he appeared to be over most of his issues.

He avoided further concussions thankfully. But I think he would always be at risk due to whaterver mechanical/awareness issues there are in how he plays.

There was a moment in his first game back this year where he ran onto a loose ball in the back line, and momentarily stumbled (leading with his head in the process) in front of the oncoming pack of big Carlton forwards and Adelaide defenders. for about 2 seconds I thought I was about to watch him be put into a coma.

Also, in 4 seasons of full length games he never exceeded his best output of 2020.

He's currently studying Engineering at uni.

yeah the club kept Sam Shaw on the list for a season after he retired purely so he'd be eligible for that through the then new EBA, (i'm pretty sure?)

He'll be fine, smart kid, great family.
As another poster said, studying engineering and no doubt if he doesn't get picked up as a rookie by another AFL team (I believe Richmond were having a look) he'll earn nice $$ playing top level suburban down here on the Peninsula

I thought he showed enough to be given another contract. Deserves a spot somewhere on a list, but if he's got plenty going for him outside of footy, which it sounds like he has, take up a non-contact sport for fun, enjoy life and enjoy the footy watching from the sidelines.

Gollant is a player I can see getting another go on a rookie list somewhere if he performs in the VFL.
