kananooks seemed like the perfect EKA winner:

• Completely self-centred
• Only posted in one particular way (Garfield gifs)
• Didn't have a clue about anything happening in the league

They were the front-runner for the first 11 weeks of the season. I was ready to give kananooks the EKA purely because there was no competition. I mean sure the Garfield media thread did give me a little tickle now and then, but it was mainly a joke thread that most rookies make in week 1 and move on. But kananooks stuck with it for the entire season. Was that insane? Absolutely, but you've got to commend them for following through with it.

So I was very disappointed to see that young rook kananooks had been suspended for the past week or so, and will likely still be suspended for the whole week that the Gumbies play the Furies.

I haven't noticed any other season 34 rookie media threads and I am sad to see just how badly the EKA medal worth had diminished in recent times. Does anyone else remember the times back when top 5 beez performers got pipped in the award because a certain someone told everyone they were a fraud? There hasn't been an EKA winner making the top 20 of the beez since Greenery all the way back in season 31. Why is this? Has the rookie classes of season 32, 33 and now 34 been that bad?

Is it the recruiting? Are the teams not working hard enough in the off-season to get posters worthy of receiving the honour of EKA winner? So many questions, so little answers.

I am giving an open letter to all the remaining rookies of season 34. Make a ******* media thread for gods sake. Do it for all the LG members who don't have a bloody clue who you fellas are. Maybe you'll get a couple of votes... Hell you could even win the whole thing if kananooks remains suspended until the vote closing date. Just post something.

You may like to fact check this with Mobbs who witnessed my request for a pina colada in the Spotswood Guinness bar in an early round, where I was TOLD the reason I couldn't get a drink was because NO ROOKIES were allowed in that bar...
- Only to see the FULL image of Turbo happily drinking with none-other than another great OOB rookie Over The Post and Robertio who naturally lives in the Guinness bar.

FYI - Everything I know about Sweet FA I learned from a distance (ie from our Kitchen) from his bitching and whining on Sweet goings on and living through expansion.... Ohh and from having Mobbs give us rookies history lessons too - thats been really helpful to kinda get this place...

Obviously only qooty beasts win the EKA, a fact that is proven by the success they go on with in their Sweet F.A. careers.

Lets have a look at some past EKA winners and how they have flourish and contributed to the sweet FA after achieving greatness in their rookie season.
