Are Hawthorn bandwagoners living in Geelong! So many of my mates, who never follow footy, have jumped on the Hawks bandwagon just to rub it in. If we'd won they would have been out getting pissed with us, but instead they're up in my face having a go at us and laughing.

People shit me. Have you had the same thing?

Yep, everyone wants to have a go.
The sad thing is the same blokes before the weekend were saying good luck & hope Geelong win.
Then again they are North, Carlton, Essendon, Richmond, Footscray & damn Hawthorn supporters.
Even a Melbourne supporter said he thinks they could have played better than us in the GF!!

What really irks is the local coffee shop, where there has never been a mention of any sport, and where I happily sit with my pooch every morning while sipping on a soy flat white, is now draped in f***** brown and gold, and Buddy's (s)mug is framed on the front glass door. I need my morning fix - but there's no way I'm going to put up with that. If it lasts for more than a week, there will be something else brown and gold decorating their doorstep courtesy of said pooch....

There is a bloke on my missus' facebook and is club movements go like this

07- Geelong
08- Port
09- Hawthorn (He already has pictures of himself at the family day in a hawthorn jumper).

If I ever see him I will strangle him until he passes out.

Yes. My fiance has been singing the stupid Hawthorn song to me since Saturday. I'm about to murder him, he's a bl00dy Carlton supporter, who has a Geelong AFL membership, but who will come to every game with me just to cheer for the opposition. Very confused boy

Yeah I got a comment on my Facebook wall from my cousin in the US saying "ha ha Geelong lost!!!" and all sorts of lovely text messages from other bandwagoners like "You should've listened to me when I told you Hawthorn would win".

What makes it worse is that I didn't even talk the Cats up before the Grand Final, so I don't feel like I deserve it... :(

God that must be annoying... My boyfriend going for Collingwood alone shits me up the wall!

Girl, that's grounds for calling off the engagement! ;)

Same, I didn't talk us up at all and when I tell them that they go 'Yes you did, you were in our faces' and I say name the moments and they can't.

I know what it's like to be kicked while you're down so I don't do it to anyone. My Collingwood mates were the worst.

Haha yeah I learnt my lesson after talking us up in 2006...

I've encountered something even worse than bandwagoners: Hawthorn supporters who came into work on Monday singing the song and putting up Weg posters on the wall, but two days later are completely over the fact their team won the grand final, have taken the poster down and are back to normal.

I wouldn't have been back to work if we'd won, and I would have been in Geelong today for the parade :(

17? You haven't met BDP yet have you?

Big Drop Punt (BDP) is the sleaze of the board and I was asking if you'd met him. But it doesn't matter now because it looks like I am now said sleaze...ain't that right Eliza?

People who don't follow the game don't understand just how emotionally involving this game is. Hence they think its ok to kick us when we are down. I try not to talk Geelong up (and If I do im just stirring) and I also don't like to rub it in if things go wrong for the clubs my other mates support. However it is very satisfying to see Collingwood lose...and Hawthorn. :(

I watched the GF with a mad Hawks supporter, has been all her life. Anyway, my other friend (who originally went for Sydney and knows barely anything about footy) decided to jump on the Hawks bandwagon.
It was bad enough watching the game with two Hawks supporters, but it was even worse when she'd yell "GO NUMBER 2!" and ask "That's Crawf right?" (and no, it wasn't Crawf.) Now she insists that she goes for Hawthorn and I have no doubt that next time I speak to her she'll mention Geelong losing...
