Would you rather go undefeated then lose the GF to your biggest rival or go winless?

As per thread title, would you rather see your team go undefeated during the entire home and away season, cruise through the finals then lose the Grand Final to your team's biggest rival or would you rather go winless all season?

I never want to see my team finish last under any circumstances (even though it's looking very likely this season) but I'd much rather go through a season like this than go undefeated throughout the season then lose the Grand Final to the Pies, the pain would be unbearable and I'd never hear the end of it

Also would you rather see your team win the Grand Final after going undefeated all season, or win the Grand Final after your team's biggest rival goes undefeated throughout the entire home and away season, cruises throughout the finals then chokes to your mob in the Grand Final? For me beating the Pies in another Grand Final, especially under those circumstances, would be more satisfying then going undefeated throughout the season IMO.

Winless. Guarantees you the #1 pick in the draft. Going undefeated all year and losing could be your last crack at the grand final depending on what happens in the offseason.

It's a question that can't really be answered due to not knowing who will be available #1 in that particular draft and who would stay/leave if you lost the Grand Final.

Only losers are okay with bowing out early.

Much prefer losing the big show than being eternally crap.
I agree with your sentiment but I imagine the pain Geelong fans would have went through after the 2008 Grand Final would be worst than winning a wooden spoon

All 17 other teams should be your biggest rival, they are all in your way of winning a flag. You should always move heaven and earth to beat as many of them as humanly possible.

Good thread. But I would rather go undefeated and then lose the grand final. The law of averages says that if you keep banging the door down - eventually it will open up.

Wooden spoon. With an undefeated season you would almost expect to win the flag so loosing would be made far worse. Loosing to your main rival on top of that, unbearable.
Finish last, take pick 1, rebuild.

Would prefer to be winless, get the number 1 pick, reload and rebuild. Much like what is gonna happen to us this year, except we aren't winless (thanks Melbourne).

Don't think I can stomach a grand final loss to Carlton or even Hawthorn.

Interesting a lot of people who also picked the winless option used Pick 1 in their considerations (I didn't)

If there were no draft picks in the AFL, would you still have the same answer?
