Whenever I see mention of Brennan Cox I can't help but think of this:

WTAF were we thinking!!!
Anyone see Joyces around - punch him in the nose

Only player still not in the league in that pic is the one we chose.

Thank JB for helping save the club but after that he was sucking bard on the knob and asleep at the wheel

The only two…Josh Williams & Declan Watson. Two terrible picks

My big one was wanting Touk Miller or Caleb Daniel at pick 25 but ol Joyce thought Neilson who wasn’t even rated highly would be worth the reach even after taking Durdin at 16

Yep always wondered why we didn’t take Touk Miller. Would’ve been a great understudy for Swallow.

You and 99% of our board wanted Connor Menadue at pick 25. the Ziebell was crapping on about Goddard and Lamb. Sure we f’ed it but this board wasn't much better with who they wanted.
Menadue was 2014. I rated Menadue, mainly because we were crying out for speed and he was one of the quickest in the draft. Was also keen on Touk Miller at that pick.

In 2016 I said that Brennan Cox had the potential to be one of the best KP’s from that particular draft which outside of Larkey has probably turned out to be true.

Logue seems like the shrewdest signing really which means we'll probably fumble it. Age profile and position, he definitely suits.

Honestly can't remember except that 2020 was turf toe and last year was calf I'm pretty sure
I thought he did a decent hammy too 2-3 weeker... just looked it up

2018 - congenital foot injury(season)
2019 - 3 week hammy
2020 - turf toe 8 weeks - in career best form
2021 - calf(few weeks)hammy( a couple)

Has missed a fair chunk of his career on the side lines.

Logue via PSD and Jayden Short via free agency would change our backline significantly.

Unless we pay way overs, I can't see an established player like Short pulling up stumps to win 6 games a season.

Realistically neither of the two happen, but a man can dream. We have managed big fish like Jared Polec and Lachie Young before.

Why can’t Logie secure a position in Freo’s defence? Would rather Pearce if he’s free.
Freo tried 3 talls earlier this year. Lost to saints, decided they didn't like that set up and went with 2 talls instead which has worked much better so far. Logue is a tall. Cox and Pearce are better talls.

He can also supposedly play small but I don't think he's attacking enough and isn't a great kick which I assume is why he was dropped to work on that. walker was bought in instead for his speed and run and carry, which logue doesn't have

You'll have to be patient with us.

We're a side whose second best KPD has been rightfully delisted twice before and our singular depth KPD is a Cat B rookie who miraculously grew over the off season.

It's hard for us to fathom that someone could be outside the best 2 KPDs as their club and still be a reasonable, promising young player.

He'd be leaving Richmond on the way down and coming to a team on the way up. Chance to turn those 3 premierships at the Tigers into another one with us late in his career

He would be leaving certainty in his current role, where he is probably on reasonable money at a club he is a dual premiership player and b&fwinner, for a club where there is currently no indication of it being on the 'up', after 3 seasons drafting in the top 5. We will more than likely win another spoon this season too.

Would love Short at North but he'd be the highest paid general defender in the league if he was to come here.

If we can afford to pay Polec 750k a year off the back of one good season, I’d happily pay that for Short. I don’t think the Tigs would be able to match a heavily front loaded contract with the likes of Lynch, Martin ect on the books.
