Hopefully we bounce back and this is a competitive game. Our best is good enough to win but we have to really bring the heat at the contest unlike last night.

In - Wednesday night’s new ruck JOM Long.
Out - Impey Frost(it’s Hawthorn you know he’ll get a week) Scrimshaw.

Not to fussed who comes in but would like to see the following changes

Impey struggling not offering anything that we can’t find elsewhere at the moment.
Howe based on 1st 3 qtrs
Maginness went unnoticed when came on
Bramble cant get near it, not damaging when has it. Hopefully the interrupted pre-season is the reason.

From Sam’s presser sounds like reeves is a chance. Or we pick up a ruck in msd. JOM should be back.
No real standouts at box hill ex maybe callow but don’t need a tall forward. Prob time for Morris - he’s got a hard edge. Reckon Ward needs time at BH.

Scrim, Impey, frost could all be out or all available which makes predicting selection tough.

Assuming reeves, JOM, Morris come in either the 3 above go out or howe or bramble prob next in line. Hartigan may also come in if frost is out although pie aren’t tall.
Pies will go in with 2 rucks and Mason was actually ok today. Howe plays like a tall because of his leap. Brained the Blues today with his influence. They play a style which could open us up repeatedly as we don't set up for it. Similar to Gold Coast. Need to play Reeves so we can stop wearing out our future key talls. If the risk is minimal. should have probably played yesterday TBF Sam erred on the side of caution which you can do if there is a backup option available which there isn't.

Ins: Morris, Jaeger, Reeves
Outs: Frost, Scrimshaw, Howe.

Don't need Hartigan due to Pies lack of tall forwards.

I'm really hopeful Downie is named on the wing this week. He still has plenty to work on, contested ball, but he remains our best long term option on the wing. His left peg is a weapon.

Hopefully Ward just comes straight back in if he's recovered. I know he was dropped, but he's had a few weeks off so if he's fit just play him in the middle.

The G versus the pies is how Shiels deserves to be celebrated for his 250th. Keep him in with Punky for this.

Frost is obviously out, but the pies don't really have an overly tall forward line. Great opportunity for DGB to take on more responsibility. Scrimshaw will miss too sadly.

Impey is struggling, but to be honest Bramble is struggling worse. He needs to find some form, and that run and carry he has, back at Box Hill. Doesn't look like an AFL player at the moment if we're being honest. Harry can push back.

Out: Scrimshaw (inj), Frost (sus), Howe and Bramble

In: Reeves (fingers crossed), Ward, Downie and O'Meara
