Body language seems like he has already checked out so if he does request a traded end of this year hopefully he doesn't nominate any club as at least he own this to North for them to get the best trade deal with 2 bidding clubs, they own him nothing and he own them a lot after just getting drafted to them with pick 1 a year ago.

He doesn't own North anything

Nah his step Dad Fabian Francis who he loves so much he changed his name to include his, was an inaugural Power player.
He'll probably end up there. But if we could jag him it would set us up for 10 years.
And his step dad he loves so much got shafted by Power and Freo gave him a lifeline, which is why the boy grew up supporting them.

he owes them nothing.

Is the type of character we want at our football club though? Giving up the farm for someone showing this type of poor behaviour & attitude, regardless of club environment he is currently playing at, would be highly concerning IMO

Exactly. Anyone assuming allegiance to Port ain’t paying attention.

Better question is whether he holds his step fathers grudge against Port,

I doubt any of the old stuff matters that much when you get an agent, a contract and start seeing it as the business it is

He did have to move interstate young so he might be not just adjusting well or simply hate the Melbourne life style and isn't coping, he hasn't shown this type of behaviour and attitude playing in the SANFL. And this was the point of me saying he shouldn't nominate as this will be seen as a big positive of his character from the possible worst situation wanting out of a club after only a year of being drafted using pick 1.

So stuff which club he nominate, they will trade with the club who offer them the best trade value since after getting 1 year with the highest draft investment possibly used at a club. But "character" and "loyalty" wise, hopefully he is the one that decide this.
They won't trade with anyone he doesn't allow them to.

Not sure. He did train on with port last year when some draft eligible kids had the chance to train with the AFL clubs

Yes but I’m pretty sure the players don’t choose which club to train at.
correct. It was more that he has seen the inside walls of that club and they were near the top of the ladder when he was there. Not saying this actually means much, but the club certainly would have had time to try and turn his head if they chose
