Exactly what I think, have noticed. He has no explosive speed nor any noticeable pace at all so he can't get any separation on a lead, is no real aerial danger so far as he's not dynamic and leaping high.
I can see him being a decent ruckman if given enough time. I can't see him being a gun forward.

Way too early to really tell though.

It reinforces the idiom that “showdowns are always 50/50”, but the number of times we’ve rolled over when raging favourites beginning with the second Showdown of 2014 is very very Ken.

Just cannot coach in big games.
Not just his game day coaching but his loser talk always sets our players up to roll over as soon as the going gets tough.

Showdowns are always 50/50
Its a tough competition
Someone has too lose

The players go into the game with the mindset that a loss is a perfectly acceptable outcome.

To be fair though we are just a little battler cub from Alberton and playing the Camry Crows at Adelaide Oval is a very scary proposition.

I can just see Ken arriving at the Big Footy annual BBQ.........

Being at Norf would complete expose Kern for the tactically inept loser that he is.

He wouldn't be taking on a team revitalised by the move to AO, with players like Boak and Gray entering their primes, plus young guns like wines and Wingard.

The Norf cupboard is bare

Ken has proven he can keep players he wants to keep and he has managed to sell players on the club when we've chased them. The next 5 years north need that more then tactical mouse. Ken also plays the media like a fiddle.
Ken will sell a 5 year plan to supporters.

Ken would be very good for North now.

The annoying thing about it, one of countless annoying things, is that Hinkley doesn’t realise he’s doing it. He has no clue what is loser talk and what is winner talk. It comes down to basic intelligence, feel and perception. He just has none, was born without any.

It’s akin to Koch and his inability to read a room let alone talk to it properly.

They are a loser act, these two. Opposites in action.

Hinkley does have street smarts that protect himself, especially with Koch who has unreality smarts born of TV land.

A worse pair for our club as senior coach and chairman of the board I cannot imagine. Someone should make a TV sitcom about it.

Edit: They did something like that in Ukraine didn’t they?

When the Crows are mega shit and Port are good, the Crows are still a chance, but when Port are mega shit and the Crows are good, Port stand no chance, especially when Don Pyke is in the box.

Only the former circumstance makes them 50/50 games.

I'd have no doubt if we had don Pyke as coach the last 10 years we win at least one flag.

I felt that there was a further sample of loser talk (and demeanour) in the press conference after the Freo match.

Robbo floating the suggestion that Hinkley might walk away “if it all blows up in the next 6 weeks”, and with the Gold Coast job off the table, “Clarko might ride into town as the king of Adelaide”.

That should set tongues a-wagging…

It irks me no end how they all affectionally refer to him as "Kenny".

“Kenny Hinkley’s a great football person!”

(who has spent the past 7 years saying it’s just a game and not important)
