As others have mentioned I cannot see Ken not coaching us next year. The only caveat I will put on that is the fact he apparently doesn't like the pressure of a final year and wants some certainty going forward. . So it may come from Ken himself, in that he will pull the pin without that guarantee.

Club should have given him “certainty” several years ago.

Koch on 5AA in short:

  • still confident in the list, we have depth and it keeps evolving;
  • the footy programme will be assessed at year end, just like every year;
  • still need to improve although we've had a lot of injuries;
  • frustrated at the Saturday game and "a lot of decisions didn't go our way";
  • we have a talented list, a strong program, and the list and footy dept are sticking together. You would worry if you had a team that didn't play for each other, that fell apart, that no confidence in their coaches, and if there is disconnect in aforementioned. Saturday's game showed no disconnect, the players played for each other and the coach(es);
  • Asked whether where we are at is a combination of bad luck or bad management, he replied "a little bit of both";
  • we haven't taken our chances and have showed no consistency. We've gone from best intercept side last year to one of the worst this year.
  • we've missed Lycett, but Finlayson has surprised with his development. Charlie Dixons passion had been missed in the early part of the season and has shown to be the key to the side.
  • ultimately we are good football side who must play more consistently for longer at our best.

Might have missed something but that's the gist of it. No question on the future of the coach and more tellingly there was no mention of "Kenny" but the more neutral coach or coaches.
Who briefed him? Some of that stuff sounds like he knows something about football. Some.

I just hope Koch and co realises how much of a circus next year will be if Hinkley is still around.

Absolutely, and I'll be doing my best to make it a circus. Anyone for a staged protest for the entirety of our opening home fixture at the Russell Ebert statue?

King of loser Village disagree , wonder if his thoughts would be different if the club wasn't given him free access 😆
The outrage on Twitter is amusing. This kind of thing is so common around the world when sports fans are disgruntled by a coach/board etc. Australian sports fans are soft.

Yep if this was Europe hinkleys house would of burnt down by now

I'm surprised it took this long for something like this to go up. We went into this season with the general consensus being flag or bust for Ken, and we are 11th with no chance of finals, how he isn't under more pressure than this has got me completely gobsmacked. Just get rid of him and then the supporters wouldn't need to resort to putting signs up.

lol i love how everyone with a vested interest / paid by the club / attends club luncheons is like "that is so rude!" and everyone who actually wants to win is like "hell yeah!". Perfect representation of where we are at.
