Jack Graham is Brandon Ellis v2.0 very good role player who can be relied upon every week to do what is asked of him, but isn't necessarily a star of the game. Just like Ellis, when he left us for the offer too good to refuse from the Suns, Graham should take the opportunity to set himself up for the future and cash in by signing a a long term deal with Port or Adelaide if offered one.

No doubt we'd like to keep him, much the same way we wanted to keep Ellis, but it will be on our terms and if he can't remain in the 22, with the addition of Hopper & Taranto, plus the likes of Short Baker Ross & Sonsie all being capable of having more impact offensively, the odds are he might struggle to stay in the 22 and won't get the same sort of deal that he could possible sign now.
100% Agree

When he becomes a free agent and out of contract , But for Now we want pick #8

100% this.

2021 and 2022 was his time to elevate himself. Instead, we've basically had to relinquish the game if Cotchin & Prestia were both injured.
This.
Essentially every game we lost (all those f en close ones), we were destroyed in the midfield.

I love graham and what he’s given to the club but he isn’t an inside midfielder, and he’s not really an outside one either, he’s more of a hybrid who isn’t overly great at either but an elite pressure player.

Where we’re getting done is getting bullied in the middle, Prestia plays almost a lone hand with a little help from nank and cotch.

Getting Taranto and hopper may not take us back to the top, but it is filling the single biggest issue our club has had for a few years.

I’ll put my faith in the club, if it doesn’t work out, I’m glad we went down that path anyways.

I'm worried that we'll accept pick 27. It's the Richmond way :-(

Interesting excerpt from Inside Trading today.
Port Adelaide might be open to shifting pick 8.
So, we could do pick 8 for Graham and 30?
More so port slide back to the 10-15 range and gain a second round pick, the second round pick being for Junior rioli, then priority pick and a future 3rd or something for Graham

Liked by Brenton Mann...
For those unaware, he is a part of the Talking Tigers podcast and is our VFL correspondent.
I wonder why he would like this specific tweet...

Notice is says Victorian club rather than Carlton who he’s been linked to him all year so there could be something in it. 198cm/100+kg plays Key Forward or back.

Could this be the famed key forward from a bottom eight club that was being referred to in the recent BigFooty Tigercast podcasts...
This would be a very Richmond type of recruitment.

mcarsey

best name

no idea who he is but want him to come to tigs now

McAsey has shown absolutely zero AFL attributes to succeed as an KPP.
He is only 21... the tall ones always seem to take a bit longer, unless you're Sam Darcy.

There's also the matter of him being a defender

Granted I know sweet FA about the kid. I'm sure he could be developed at either end.
Former pick 6 doesn't mean much, but it does mean there is a level of talent there.

We're not getting 8 unless we throw in another pick.

If we got 27 from Port for Graham

I'd package up 12 & 27 for Taranto 58 & 60 and 19 & 31 for Hopper & 40

Think it's a win/win for both clubs. GWS end up with 5 picks inside the first 30, Tigers get 2 best 22 starters and some picks with value that we can use to try and trade up given Brisbane will be looking for points

Love this Fischer news

Perfect age, perfect height, swingman, KPD, KPF former Pick 6

Im not saying it's anything concrete. I'm basing it all off of a like from a Richmond staffer that may not have any knowledge of our list management strategy.
But it is very curious.
Let's see what happens.

Mcasey if from the crows. Need to satisfy some sort of 3 way trade then.
He was proposing the trade for Graham to go to Adelaide is how I understood it, as they have pick 23.
