Ross looks like he needs to get in the gym himself. He’ll be Stewie Dew soon.

Now that Hunter Clark has found our gym maybe he can show Ross where it is.

Why would Corey Enright be moved on? That would be a strange decision. Our backline did very well all things considered.

Most coaches want their own assistants an Ross would be a very particular type IMO. He's not come in to be flexible, He's a details person. I loved Enright's last season but you want this to go 100% to plan and not skint.

Was never tweeted mate, you can’t trust George. Midget grifter from way back

Still harsh call though. Our backline looked to be the one thing that was holding up. I really like Enright.

Maybe he has a thing about Geelong! I do.

Only kidding. Enright seems good. Maybe Enright doesn’t want to stay. But Ross is allowed to buy the groceries if he’s going to cook the dinner. Nicked that quote from one of the great NFL coaches.

Not if he's planning some stodgy three cheese and sausage bake with mashed potatoes.

The media go off results, Collingwood were last and Geelong were too old. Melbourne weren't losing a match until they took the flag. Our midfield isn't perfect but they looked better than some of the top 8 sides.

I think Lyon will get a lot more out of what we have available than Ratts who looked like he was very determined to keep playing game style that wasn't working. I still think our biggest issue was forward structure. King standing flat footed and Higgins dropping away really made us very impotent up front and predictable.
Pretty much why I said in hindsight and in hindsight not one media person rates our list better than average. Again our midfield looked better than some top 8 sides with stats but not structure or more importantly the type in there. Remember you tried to compare Guthrie to some of our mids through stats. I doubt any media person thinks that apart from Steele not one of of our mids is near Guthrie. Our forwards suffered from the same same mids. Lyon had so many better players than now to work with in 2007 but we went backwards. Not because he can’t coach or the players weren’t good enough. It was due to how he wanted the team to play. He won’t coach the same as then but he will demand they learn how he wants to play even if we go backwards. I’m not even saying we will because I think the 3 young mids can make a huge difference but there is way we are even close to certain of playing finals.

Couldn't agree more. This is why we need to really try and develop players like Windy and evej Clark through the middle.

We need a few points of difference other than Gresham, who I still think plays his best footy forward.

You can see how much of a difference Jones makes to our midfield when he plays well, but unfortunately he's just become to unreliable of late.
Yep gresh had to play as a mid this year because our midfield is so similar but ideally he spends 15 minutes a game as a much and the rest up forward. That can only happen if the young kids come through or Lyon and Lenny somehow get more out of jones and maybe Clark.
